Adventures In Time Mod

Ever wanted to travel through time and space in Minecraft? Adventures In Time lets you pilot a living TARDIS, explore the Moon, Mars, and beyond, and uncover hidden mysteries across the cosmos!

If you've ever wanted to explore the vastness of space or travel between dimensions in Minecraft, then Adventures In Time is the perfect mod for you. Inspired by Doctor Who, this mod introduces a TARDIS—but not just any TARDIS. This one is alive. It learns from you, adapts to your behavior, and might even surprise you in ways you didn’t expect. You’re not just piloting a machine—you’re forming a connection with a living entity that has a will of its own.

What Can the TARDIS Do?

The TARDIS in this mod isn’t just a fancy teleportation device—it’s an advanced, interactive spaceship that lets you:

  • Travel between dimensions, warping to new worlds in an instant.
  • Cloak your TARDIS to keep it hidden from prying eyes.
  • Use RWF (Relative Warp Flight) to reposition yourself or even chase after other players.
  • Grow and change over time, influenced by your actions and choices.

Entering and Exiting the TARDIS

  • To enter the TARDIS, simply right-click on the exterior door.

  • To exit, interact with the Interior Door, which cycles between open, half-open, and closed states.

  • If you have a Linked Key, you can lock and unlock the TARDIS by interacting with the door.

  • Players with Gold, Netherite, or Classic Keys can open the TARDIS doors by snapping their fingers (default keybind: V), but only if the TARDIS recognizes them as loyal users.

Warning: Opening the Interior Door while in flight will cause all living entities inside to be pulled into the vortex and ejected at random!

Managing the TARDIS – Handle with Care!

While the TARDIS is an incredible tool for exploration, proper control and maintenance are crucial. If you’re careless with your piloting or neglect its upkeep, things can go very wrong—and fast. Mishandling the TARDIS could lead to malfunctions, unexpected teleportation errors, or even full-blown explosions. Learning how to navigate, stabilize, and maintain your living ship is just as important as using it to travel. After all, a reckless pilot might find themselves stranded in deep space—or worse, left with nothing but a pile of smoldering wreckage!

Piloting the TARDIS

  • Interact with the TARDIS Console to access flight controls.

  • Use Scanning Mode on your Sonic Screwdriver to highlight control points if you're having trouble finding them.

  • Control Functions:

    • Throttle: Right-click or left-click to adjust speed (crouch to max out/minimize speed).

    • Increment Control: Adjusts movement distance (1, 10, 100, 1000 blocks).

    • Coordinate Controls: Right-click decreases, left-click increases.

    • Dimension Control: Changes the target dimension (e.g., Overworld to Nether).

    • Fast Return Control: Sends you back to your last landing spot.

    • Shield Control: Toggles visible/invisible shields.

    • Monitor: Displays coordinates, energy levels, and settings.

    • Power Control: Turns the TARDIS on/off, disabling most functions when off.

But your journey doesn’t stop at warping between dimensions—this mod also adds space exploration!

Exploring the Cosmos

With Adventures In Time, you’re not limited to the Overworld. You can venture beyond your home planet, flying through space and landing on new celestial bodies. Right now, there are two accessible planets: the Moon and Mars, each with its own terrain, secrets, and structures to discover. You never know what you might find out there—strange ruins, new challenges, or even hidden lore waiting to be uncovered.

Navigating to Structures with the Astral Map

  • Place the Astral Map inside the TARDIS.

  • Select a structure type (e.g., Ancient City, Village, Cult Structure).

  • Click SEARCH to set the target coordinates.

  • Start the TARDIS flight to travel there.

Changing Destinations

  • Adjust the Coordinate System to manually set X, Y, and Z.

  • Use Waypoint Controls to teleport to stored locations.

  • The Randomizer Control will pick a completely random location.

Using the Landing Pad

  • Place a Landing Pad to mark a TARDIS-friendly landing zone.

  • Use the Sonic Screwdriver (Scanning Mode) to find available landing spots.

  • Enter the landing code into the Security Settings of your TARDIS Monitor.

A Unique Experience Every Time

What makes Adventures In Time stand out is the TARDIS’s dynamic nature. Unlike most mods where you control everything, here, your TARDIS has a mind of its own. It learns from you, reacts to how you behave, and might even develop quirks based on your actions. If you’re reckless, it might pick up on that. If you treat it well, who knows what doors that might open?

Customizing the TARDIS

Changing the Exterior & Interior

  • Use the Monitor or Wall Monitor to access customization settings.

  • Select a different Exterior Style to change the look of your TARDIS.

  • Modify the Interior Theme to personalize the inside.

  • Adjust the Hum Sound to create a unique ambiance.

Using the Environment Projector

  • Right-click the Environment Projector to activate or deactivate it.

  • Sneak + Right-click to cycle through different skyboxes based on dimensions.

Managing TARDIS Power & Resources

Generating and Using Artron Energy

  • The Engine generates power based on connected components.

  • Attach Artron Cables and a Generalized Subsystem Core to link devices.

  • Use the Power Converter to transform Zeiton Shards, fuel, and coral into usable energy.

Refueling

  • Engage the Handbrake before activating the Refuel Control.

  • While in a Rift Chunk, the refuel speed increases.

Automation & Redstone Integration

Using the Redstone Control Block

  • Shift + Right-click on a control to link it to the Redstone Control Block.

  • Powering it with redstone will simulate a click on that control:

    • Red Signal: Left-clicks the control.

    • Green Signal: Right-clicks the control.

Using the Interior Detector

  • The Interior Detector emits redstone based on different conditions:

    • Orange: TARDIS Power status

    • Green: If the TARDIS is crashed

    • Gray: If the TARDIS is locked

    • White: If the TARDIS Doors are open

    • Blue: If a Sonic Screwdriver is inserted

    • Red: If the TARDIS alarm is active

    • Purple: If the TARDIS is in flight

  • Right-click the block to cycle through detection modes.

Waypoint Bank: Managing Travel Points

  • Store up to 16 Waypoint Cartridges inside the Waypoint Bank.

  • Right-click to insert a waypoint.

  • Shift + Right-click to pull half out.

  • Shift + Right-click again to activate a waypoint.

  • Right-click while halfway out to fully remove it.

  • Left-click to push a waypoint back into storage.

Why You Should Try It

Whether you’re a Doctor Who fan, a sci-fi enthusiast, or just someone who loves exploring new worlds in Minecraft, this mod brings something truly unique to the game. The combination of dimension-hopping, space travel, and a sentient TARDIS makes for an adventure unlike any other. Just remember—you’re not the one in full control.

So, are you ready to take off into the unknown? Step inside, set your coordinates, and let the Adventures In Time begin!
