Hearths Mod

Hearths is a simple, light-weight mod that adds a few new additions to the Nether dimension. This includes two new structures, and some biome modifications. Let us take a look at the new changes in detail.

Warped & Crimson Towers

Two new towers are added by this mod. Both of these towers are very much similar to each other, as they are just the Warped and Crimson variants of the same structure. These towers are hard to miss, as they stand over a hundred blocks tall.

Treasure Chests

The towers have multiple floors in them. Each floor can contain one of the three - loot chest, blaze spawner, or lava pool. You can utilize the tower to navigate between different vertical levels of the Nether and while doing so, fight off blazes and collect treasure loot.

The mod also introduces some biome features. Warped and Crimson forests now have unique features like blackstone clusters, fallen fungus, and a new type of sprawling huge fungus. You will also notice that the density of vegetation in these biomes have increased.

Some biome features are added to the Nether Wastes biome as well. You can sharp notice netherrack spikes on the ground and the ceiling, along with features like clustered blackstone and magma blocks. You will also notice an increase in the area of ground lit on fire.
