Villages are one of the most common structures in the game. There are many different biomes in the game, and each one has its own village variant. But if you do a side by side comparison of the different village variants, you will realize that they are a lot similar when it comes to shape and layout. The only real difference is in the wood type used and some minor differences. The Katters Structures mod is here to change that.
This mod introduces some vanilla friendly villages into the game. The villages introduces by this mod varies from biome to biome, and each village variant has unique properties that make them stand out from the rest. Villages that generate in a specific biome will be unique to that biome and will blend in well with the environment.
- Ruined villages, as the name suggests, are the remains of what once used to be a village. You will not find any inhabitants here their existence is nothing but a mere detail.
- Shroom caves generate as underground cavities. They have fungi trees growing inside them. The mycelium blocks and glow lichen on the cave walls give this structure a unique appearance.
- Cherry villages are unique to the cherry blossom biome. These village consists of multi-storied houses that are built using cherry tree wood and planks.
- Jungle villages generate in jungle biomes and have a large central tree-house that has a very unique spiraling shape.
- Ocean villages generate in oceans. Their full beauty comes to light at night time, when the entire village glows due to the sheer number of lanterns placed all around.
- Sky villages are easy to miss, unless you have the habit of looking at the skies randomly. They are built using quartz blocks and has a much more futuristic appearance compared to the other structures.
- Swamp villages are relatively small. They look under developed and has very basic detailing.
- Underground caves can be randomly found when you are exploring caves. They have the contents of a usual village, including an iron golem.
- Desert villages generate in desert biomes. The houses are closer to the ground, just like real life houses in the desert.
- Mountain villagers and ocean villagers are large villager head structures that generate in these biomes.
- The witch circle is a circular structure that comes with large stone pillars and a central lodestone. Be aware of the witches that inhabit this structure.
