What makes Macaw's Lights and Lamps 1.0.4 so great? You have complete control over the height of each light source by stacking your lamps on top of each other, the ability to turn them on and off with a right-click and shift, and the fact that all of the recipes are crafted in vanilla. Additionally, more content will be added in the future, so feel free to leave your suggestions to the author, they read almost everything!

Many of the light sources, such as the Tiki Torches and Lamps have multiple different colours, but the lights from all of them still look about the same, at least with the shaders we have. In reality, many of the lights are not much different than standard torches that are found in vanilla, they are mostly just for decoration and are not overpowered. The stacking is one of the main advantages over the normal light sources (which even they could be propped up with just fence posts). There are also lanterns, however, they are mostly for being planted on the floor as they do not stick to the side of that many surfaces.

The other great feature is the shift right-clicking to get turn it off, this is the main advantage you get compared to the vanilla lights.

This is a good vanilla plus mod that goes well with many of Macaw’s other mods and can also be used for map viewing.
