How to Get Started with the Stargate Mod

1. Find a Stargate

You can find Stargates naturally in desert biomes within your world. They have a commanding, ring-shaped structures that is hard to miss against the sandy background. If you’re in creative mode, you can also spawn one using the dedicated Stargate block that is included in the mod.

2. How to Dial a Stargate

To connect to another Stargate, you have to dial its unique address. The address consists of symbols, where the final symbol represents the “Point of Origin.” You can choose one of the following methods to begin your dialing adventure:

Dial-Home Device (DHD)

The Dial-Home Device is the most efficient and user-friendly option.
This interactive block also has a rings of chevron symbols. You can simply right-click to activate it, then input the address of the Stargate you’d like to dial.
The DHD is a bit costly to craft but will make your travel much easier.

Spectral Projector

If you are early in the game or want to save resources, you can use Spectral Projector as a cheaper solution.
This item is consumed one you dial a Stargate.
To use it, you can just right-click the device on the Stargate, input your address, and watch the wormhole open.

Manual Dialing

IF you want a full control over the portal, you can use manual dialing!
Right-click the Stargate to rotate through symbols to match the address.
Shift + Right-click allows you to lock in each chevron as you rotate them.
