Hardcore Darkness Mod

Hardcore Darkness is a simple mod that tweaks an important aspect of Minecraft to make the survival game more challenging. Look, when a player in Minecraft is completely covered by blocks on all sides, the game automatically sets the light level around you to zero and it becomes a lot darker. But, you can overcome this by increasing your device screen brightness. So, still you will be able to see enough blocks to navigate yourself through the darkest possible light level in Minecraft. But with this mod installed, you will not be able to do this. A light level of zero is now solid black. Putting yourself in a completely locked area will turn your screen completely black as shown in the images.
