Tired of villages generating in the weirdest possible layout? Not anymore! This mod forces villages to generate on relatively flatter terrain, making them aesthetically pleasing and easier to navigate.

Minecraft is not very well optimized when generating structures. A well spread out structure, like a village, is a good example for this. The game often has the habit of generating villages in the weirdest layout possible. Pathways leading to mountain walls, a single house locating at the edge of a cliff, while the rest of the village is dozens of blocks below, etc.
The Improved Village Placement mod is here to fix these issues.

This mod does one thing - it forces villages to generate on relatively flatter terrain. This means you will no longer come across village houses on floating islands, cliff edges, underground, etc. Everything part of the village can now be expected to generate in a flat layout.

The forced flat generation generates villages in the exact layout they are supposed to generate in. This means pathways found in villages will now be a lot more accurate and every structure within the village generates on the ground, instead of some being either underground or extremely high up on floating blocks.

The improved village generation applies to villages generating in all biomes. The changes also applies to villages added by mods like ChoiceTheorem's Overhauled Village and Towns and Towers. In biomes like desert, villages often generate semi-buried in sand. This mod helps avoid situations like this.
