The Villages And Pillages mod is a must-have for those players who want to see massive improvements to the inhabitants of the Overworld. This mod focuses on improving Overworld structures relating to villagers and pillagers in the game.

The current version of the mod is regarded as "Season 1: Witch Village". In the version, you can find and explore well detailed witch villages, loot their treasures, and fight off the inhabitant witches.

Witch villages only generate in swamp and mangrove biomes. These are biomes that most players usually avoid exploring, and hence the witches use them as their hideout. The structure can be quite easy to miss in these dense biomes. The village is inhabited by a lot of witches, therefore entering them and exploring in detail can be challenging.

One thing you will notice about these villages is how well detailed they are. From the bridges connecting different witch houses, to the exterior build of the houses themselves, are well detailed.

If you manage to escape the witches roaming on the bridges and enter a house, you will notice that the interior is well decorated too. You can also search for treasure chests to loot. But beware! Don't let the witches lurking inside find you!

Although the general atmosphere of the witch village seem to be simple, with well built houses and witches wandering around, you can notice some peculiar features that are weird. Human skulls observing you from tiny gaps in the houses and cats enclosed within houses, etc.
