About 2.5 million years ago, the entirety of the Earth was covered in snow. Every single continent experienced harsh winters all year round. Do you wish to survive in a world like this?
If the answer is yes, the Primal Winter mod is for you.
With this mod installed, the entirety of your Minecraft world will experience an intense winter. All biomes, including deserts, are now covered in snow. Plenty of new snowy block variants are introduced for this purpose. A thunderstorm is always in actions and thick snow particles fall at all times.
There is thick fog surrounding you. This fog limits your vision to just a couple of blocks. Everything appears faded, and navigating through the world and locating nearby monsters becomes challenging. Staying indoors withing a fully enclosed structure reduces the fog effect significantly.
No matter how much you attempt to keep your environment clean, the snow keeps on falling and will form new layers on top of one another. Even ice spikes will sometimes begin appearing sporadically. These features are common to all biomes.
All the regular activities in a survival world becomes challenging. Crops/plants never grow on their own, and you will have to rely on alternate methods to source food. All villages are also abandoned, and devoid of any life form.
