Slide through tight spaces, glide across walls, cling onto edges with your feet hanging hundreds of block up in the air. Never break a sweat as your skillfully traverse the tough of terrains.

Simple Parkour, made by MewMewkoko, is a NeoForge mod that overhauls how your character moves through the world. It's built for 1.21.1 and 26.1.2, and it's still an emerging project with just over 1,500 downloads. Don't let the small numbers fool you though, this mod nails the fundamentals of fluid, momentum-based movement. If you've ever wanted your Minecraft character to move like a parkour runner instead of a stiff block-hopper, this is worth a look.

Sliding is one of the most basic parkour movements. Sprint and hit V, and your character drops flat and skids across the ground. It's the fastest way to squeeze through one-block-tall gaps without breaking stride. Simple to pull off, but it changes how you approach tight spaces entirely.

Jump while sprinting, then press V mid-air to trigger the same slide move on the way down. This lets you thread gaps that sit a block above the floor, not just ones at ground level. It takes some timing to land right, but once it clicks, it opens up a whole new layer of route options.

Double-tap and hold sprint while jumping at a wall, and you'll run straight across it, covering serious horizontal distance with zero footholds. The same system lets you cling to vertical surfaces on the way down, softening or negating fall damage. This is easily the standout feature of the mod, and it's the one that will make you rethink how you navigate builds and terrain.

Facing an edge and moving along it lets your character grab on and hang, similar to arm-hanging systems in other parkour mods. It's a small mechanic, but it matters when you're trying to reposition without dropping. Combined with wall sliding, it gives you real control over vertical spaces.

The mod really shines when you start chaining moves together. Wall run into a jump off the wall, then catch an edge to keep moving instead of falling, and you've strung together three separate systems into one seamless traversal. This is where Simple Parkour stops feeling like a gimmick and starts feeling like an actual movement skill you build over time.
Simple Parkour delivers on its name: it takes complex movement tech and makes it approachable, while still rewarding players who put in the time to master the combos. Every feature, from crawling to wall climbing to landing rolls, can be toggled or tuned through config files. For a mod still early in its life, it already feels like a solid foundation for anyone who wants their Minecraft movement to feel less blocky and more alive.
