Leaves Be Gone Mod

One of the most annoying things about chopping down trees in Minecraft is how they leave behind floating leaves. These leaves take a lot of time to decay and drop sticks, saplings and apples. If the leaves of a nearby un-chopped tree touch the leaves of a cut-down tree, the leaves may not decay at all.

If you do not wish to see floating leaf blocks in your world, the Leaves Be Gone mod is for you.

Convenient Tree Cutting

With this mod installed, leaves of a tree will begin decaying the second the final log is chopped down. You will no longer have to wait several minutes for the leaf blocks to drop items like sticks, apples and saplings.

Faster Leaf Decay

No more floaters left behind!

In the image above, you can see how fast the leaves decay. The leaves begin decaying the moment the final log is cut down. Within two seconds, all leaves will disappear. And when they do, they drop their saplings, apples and some sticks. The faster decay introduced by this mod will not affect the drop rates in any way.

Drops are Preserved

Stick, apple and sapling drops are not affected.
