Makes double doors, trapdoors and fence gates swing open as one — even with redstone.

Vanilla Minecraft has never handled double doors well. Click one side and only that door swings open, leaving the other shut like an afterthought. It's a small thing, but it breaks immersion in every castle, house, and base you build. The Open Together mod exists purely to fix this one gripe.

Place two matching doors side by side and the mod treats them as a pair. Interact with either one and both swing open together. Fence gates get the same treatment, which is handy for farms and pens with wide entrances. It works purely from client-side interactions too, so it still helps even on servers that don't have the mod installed.

This is where it goes beyond a cosmetic trick. Install the mod server-side and redstone-triggered doors open in sync as well, not just manual clicks. That means piston doors, hidden entrances, and automated builds all benefit. You do need the server install for this part — client-only setups won't catch redstone-driven opening.

Floor hatches get linked the same way as doors. Two trapdoors placed together open as one, which makes basement entries and decorative floor builds far less fiddly. Every block type — doors, trapdoors, fence gates — can be toggled on or off individually in the config. Modded doors and trapdoors can be added too, via block tags.

Based on our testing, you could place a large array of trapdoors like shown in the image above, and all doors would still open from a single input. In the vanilla game, the lever here would only power a single trapdoor. But with this mod installed, it powers a lot more (maybe even infinite).
But there is a catch. None of these trapdoors, except one, is actually "powered". Any block updated that causes one of the non-powered trapdoors to realize this will immediately close, which in turn will update the next trapdoor and so on, until all trapdoors that are not actually being powered, will close.
The idea is simple and the execution matches it, but there are real strings attached. You need three separate dependencies installed alongside it — Puzzles Lib, Fabric API, and Forge Config API Port — which is a lot of scaffolding for a quality-of-life mod. It's also brand new, with under two dozen days on CurseForge and just over 10,000 downloads, so don't expect a long bug-fix history yet. Full functionality, especially redstone syncing, requires a server install; client-only use is a fallback, not the complete experience. If you're fine managing the extra dependencies, it's a solid, focused fix for a genuinely annoying vanilla quirk.
