Create: Energy Cannons Mod

If you are a fan of Create and Create Big Cannon mods, then Create: Energy Cannons is an amazing add-on mod that you can use in combination with them. While the cannons introduces by Create Big Cannons rely on gunpowder and similar fuel sources to shoot projectiles, this mod makes it possible to do so using energy. Let us take a look at the features of this mod.

Shoot powerful laser beams

Using the new laser block introduces by this mod, you can build and shoot highly powerful laser beams that melts through blocks. Like the other mechanisms introduces by this mod, laser cannons rely on energy sources like the battery (introduced by this mod). You can also use other mods that introduce FE energy in order to power these cannons.

Four new energy-based barrels

The mod, in its current version, introduces four different rail gun and coil gun barrels, that you can attach to your cannons. These barrels take in energy and convert them into electromagnetic pulses that will accelerate projectiles inserted into the cannon.

Explosion effects and screen-shake

The image above shows the level of destruction cause by a a single railgun cannon that shot an impact explosive projectile. You can also see smoke sizzling off the railgun barrel, indicating the hot surface. You need to wait for it to cool down to use the cannon again.
