A controversial shader pack that simulates realism in many visuals aspects of the game.

The Iteration shader pack collection is a unique pack that the community has mixed opinions on. While one part of the community appreciates the quality and beauty of the visuals introduced by the pack, another side is concerned with the several copyright infringements made by the pack author. Let us take a look at some of the features of the IterationT v3.0.0 shader pack.

Volumetry Effects
Volumetric light, clouds and fog
Volumetry has been applied to the aspects of the game, where the effect can make the visuals more beautiful. This includes volumetric light, volumetric clouds and volumetric fog. All three elements of your in-game world now behave in a three-dimensional manner that better represent real-life.

Light Behavior
Simulates realism very well
The quality of lighting introduces by this pack is commendable. As discusses above, the light element is volumetric. They interact and reflect off light surfaces in a very realistic manner. Even at night-time, the lighting effects simulate realism to a great extend.

Colored Lighting
Light can be colored using transparent blocks
When light passes through a colored transparent block, the light rays thus falling on the other end will have the color of the colored block. For example, if light passes through a colored glass block and then falls on the ground. The light falling on the ground will have picked up the color of the glass, thus simulating realism.

Wet Blocks and Droplets
Immersive rain and thunderstorms
Wet blocks and droplets are features that are generally found only in high-end shader packs. When the weather shifts to rain or thunder, all block surfaces exposed to the rain tend to become wet and more reflective. When rain droplets fall on these blocks, they form little droplets. The droplets also appear when rain falls on exposed water surfaces.

PBR Effects
Supports PBR texture packs
The IterationT 3.0.0 shader pack supports PBR textures. This is a feature that makes block surfaces react to light in a much more detailed manner. Shiny surfaces tend to be mor reflective, while rough surfaces tend to display minute light effects on an inter block-surface level. The pack by itself does not add this feature, and a compatible texture pack has to be installed and enabled.

Night Sky
Star filled sky and moonlight
The night sky welcomes you with a sky filled with tiny stars. These stars add good detail and complements the night sky very well. The volumetry effect of moonlight falling on the edges of the clouds make way for a truly beautiful sight. Nevertheless, it must be noted that night-time with this pack enabled is very dark and you will have to carry light sources in-hand for visibility.

Water/Underwater
Realistic water, refracted rays and caustics
Needless to say, along with all the other features intended to simulate realism, the pack also introduces realistic water into the game. The water surface waves and distorts all reflections as it does. When you dive underwater, you will notice diffracted sun beams entering from the surface and falling on the underwater ground, producing caustics. Caustics are the wave-like light patterns commonly seen on pool bottoms and such.
This shader pack makes the visuals in the Nether a lot more brighter and more vibrant, but reduces visibility. This can be better understood using the comparison slider provided above. With shader enabled, the Nether does look vibrant, but the distant fog effect tend to limit visibility compared to the vanilla visuals on the left.

The End
Supermassive Blackhole
The most notable change when it comes to the End dimension is the End sky itself. As you can see, the End sky is now dominated by a supermassive blackhole that spans across a major potion of the sky. The light emitted by the blackhole seems to cause the End pillars to cast shadows. Although the realism factor here is questionable, the visuals surely does look mesmerizing.
The above comparison slider pretty much sums up all the changes made to the visuals in the End - new sky, realistic lighting features, etc.
Unfortunately, despite of its success and stunning visuals, the shaderpack is a product of copyright infringement. The creator of IterationT has compromised code from other projects without their author's permission to put together the shaderpack. Therefore, we have decided not to upload a file on our platform and raise awareness about this dishonest practice.
Update! The new version of the shaderpack has been released, which has been cleaned of stolen code. Check it out: IterationT 3.2.0.
