You can craft a hanging tree house for the cats, or a sleeping mat, where they can lie down at night. You can also get the adoption certificate by trading with a villager, and using them on a cat allows your cat to follow you and live with you. You can also get an abandonment certificate, and using them on a tamed cat will make them stray cats, and they will run away from you.

When going on a journey or large distances, your cats can’t follow you for long distances, but with the cat cage, you can fit them in the cage and put them in your inventory, taking them wherever you want. You can also craft the litter box and get a cat treat by trading.
