Thermal Expansion Mod

DescriptionInstallationScreenshotsComments Downloads

Thermal Expansion is an add-on for Thermal Foundations, the original Thermal mod (predating even Thermal Foundation) going back to 1.2.5 and provides much of the tech in the series. Some things it offers to the series are:

  • Industry
  • Energy (The Thermal series is where red stone Flux came from, which would eventually be integrated into MC Forge as Forge Energy)
  • Energy Generation
  • Storage
  • Resource Processing
  • And more.

It is one of the best and oldest tech mods and provides many configurations for mod pack makers, server owners, players and more. It has different configs for both client and server. The thermal series is ever-growing, and new stuff is always added.

There is a large selection of Machines, Devices, Storage devices, parts, and more. There are over 100 different blocks/items in the mod.

Some of the many machines it adds are:

  • Redstone Furnace
  • Pulverizer
  • Sawmill
  • Induction Smelter
  • And more

Some of the devices are

  • Aqueous Accumulator
  • Item Allocator
  • Fluid Allocator
  • Creature Encapsulator
  • Factorizer
  • Vacuumulator
  • And more

There are various storage devices also, such as

  • Portable Tank
  • Cache
  • Reservoir
  • Strongbox
  • Energy Cell
  • Flux Capacitor
  • And more

Thermal Expansion has an advanced wiki which covers many of the items and blocks in great detail, and it should be read if you want to get a good start into the Thermal series. It goes along even better with the other mods in the series, as they were designed to work together and have the same dependencies. The Thermal Series is one of the largest tech mod series in Minecraft modding.
