HT's TreeChop Mod

A new tree-cutting mechanism that makes chopping down entire trees more convenient, yet not overpowered.

There are plenty of Minecraft mods that deal with the cutting down of trees. Some mods make it so that the contents of an entire tree can be dropped by breaking a single log, others make it so that the tree itself falls down physically when a bottom log is broken, and so on. Of all these, HT's TreeChop mod stands unique due to the way in which this mod makes chopping down trees convenient.

Progressive Chopping

Trees require multiple "chops" to fall

Breaking a log block that is part of a tree now occur in stages. The block will now break layer by layer as you axe it down. Once the last layer is broken, the entirety of the tree that is above the broken log will all drop for you to collect. Breaking one layer is considered a "chop. Each log block has around three chops.

No drops from the tree are lost

All logs and leaves attacked to the tree are broken down and dropped. No items are lost when an entire tree is chopped down. All the logs and leaf dropping like sticks and apples are dropped without any loss.

Size Factor

Bigger trees require more chops

To keep things balanced, the amount of chops you have to make in order to fell an entire tree depends on the size of the tree. While smaller trees, like oak, can be felled with 3-4 chops, larger trees like tall spruce can take up to 10-15 chops. This might require you to chop down on multiple logs as the maximum number of chops that can be made on a single log is limited.

Mod Settings

Toggle based on your preference

By pressing a configurable keybind, you can open the settings menu of the mod. There are options that will allows you toggle the various conditions associated with tree chopping.
