Makes trees fall and land like real trees, so you can chop logs on the ground instead of climbing after them.

Tree Physics is a mod that changes how trees fall in Minecraft. Instead of chopping every log one by one, you cut the base and the whole tree comes falls down like in real life. It's a simple idea, but it changes how tree-cutting feels in everyday survival play. This review covers what it does, how it works, and what you need to ensure the mods works perfectly.

Ever looked at a tree that's too tall to cut down? Tall jungle trees, spruces, and dark oaks force you to climb block by block or place scaffolding just to reach the top branches. It's slow, repetitive, and a bit annoying if you're gathering wood often, especially near a jungle or taiga biome where trees can stretch dozens of blocks into the sky.

This mod solves it. Tree Physics causes trees to fall realistically, powered by the Sable physics engine, so cutting the base sends the whole tree crashing down at once. And if you crouch while chopping, the tree won't turn into a physics sub-level at all. That gives you a quick way to fell a tree the old-fashioned way if you'd rather not deal with the physics object. It's a small mechanical change, but it makes felling a big tree feel far more rewarding than plain vanilla chopping.

Once felled, you can chop logs easily. The tree is now lying flat on the ground, so every log is within easy reach instead of somewhere high above your head. There's no climbing, no placing temporary blocks, and no risk of falling off the trunk while you work your way through it.

Works with any trees of all heights. Short oaks and towering jungle giants are handled the same way: chop the base, let it fall, then walk along the trunk collecting logs at ground level. he mod is also configurable, with some properties adjustable through datapacks, so server owners have some room to tune how it behaves.
At the time of writing this article, the mod only has versions for NeoForge 1.21.1. To ensure that you have a good experience while installing the mod, without having to face any crashes or unwanted behavior, all the mods currently in our mod folder is listed below with their respective versions.
Tree Physics - NeoForge 1.21.1
Sable 2.0.3 - NeoForge 1.21.1
Sodium 0.8.12 beta2 - NeoForge 1.21.1
Veil 4.3.0 - NeoForge 1.21.1
ImGuiMC 1.2.5 - NeoForge 1.21.1
Tree Physics runs on Fabric and NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1 and needs to be installed on both client and server. It's a small, focused mod, but it removes one of the more tedious parts of survival Minecraft and makes wood gathering noticeably less of a chore. If you find yourself chopping trees often, it's a solid addition to your modpack.
