MineColonies Mod Mod

Have you ever wanted to build your own fully functioning town inside Minecraft, complete with workers who gather resources, craft items, cook food, and defend your borders all on their own? MineColonies makes that possible.

MineColonies is a town-building mod that turns Minecraft into a full colony management experience. Instead of doing everything yourself, you hire NPC citizens and assign them to buildings, and they get to work automatically. Your Builder constructs huts, your Miner digs for ore, your Farmer plants and harvests crops, and your Courier shuttles materials between everyone. The colony runs on its own while you plan, expand, and keep things from falling apart.

The mod includes over 40 unique worker types and dozens of specialized buildings.

The building system is one of the mod's best features. Using the Build Tool, you get a holographic preview of where a structure will go before you commit to placing it. The mod ships with over 1,300 premade schematics across multiple architectural styles, and you can download more from the community or build your own.

The Build Tool lets you rotate, move, and preview every building before it goes down.

Workers are not just decoration. Each one has a job, a skill set, and a home. They level up as they work, eat food to stay productive, and sleep at night. If a citizen gets sick, you need a Hospital. If one dies, the Undertaker retrieves their grave. There is a full citizen lifecycle to manage, and it goes deeper the larger your colony grows.

Citizens

Citizens

Citizens actively carry materials, chop trees, mine, and patrol depending on their role.

Defense is also a real concern. Once your colony hits seven citizens, raiders can come. Barbarians, pirates, and other hostile forces will attack in waves. You will want Guard Towers, a Barracks, and eventually trained Knights and Archers to push them back. There is also a Rallying Banner that calls all your guards to follow you when things get out of hand.

Guards patrol and defend your colony, and their effectiveness scales with training and hut level.

For players who want to go further, the University unlocks a research tree that improves workers, unlocks new buildings, and adds powerful upgrades to your colony over time. It is a long-term investment that changes how your colony operates at high levels.
