There are plenty of world generation mods for Minecraft. Some focus on enhancing the terrain, while others introduce plenty of new biomes. Forest Biomes

New denser forests

The mod introduces a couple of new forest biomes into the game. Compared to the vanilla forest biomes, these biomes are dense. From the ground to the tree-tops, some sort of flora occupy the space, making it so dense that navigating through is not very smooth. Many of the forest have new tree variants that come in colors much different from the vanilla trees.

Wetlands

Dark swamp-like biomes

These are swamp-like biomes whose ground is majorly wet. Trees like mangrove grow in these biomes and the ground is mostly shallow ponds, whose surfaces are often covered by lily pads or moss. These biomes tend to be the darkest amongst all the biomes.

Special Biomes

New and unique biommes

While most of the biomes introduced by the mod are themed around vanilla biomes, the mod does introduce some biomes that are based on completely new ideas. Biomes such as lavender fields have their ground completely overgrown with lavender flowers, offering a unique appearance.

Along with the new biomes, the existing vanilla biomes too receive an overhaul with this mod installed. You will find that relatively plain biomes now have plenty of grass growing on them. A similar plant growth can be observed on sand blocks as well. Beaches/Coastal regions tend to have seashells and other artifacts lying on the ground.

As noted above, the mod introduces a collection of new tree variants into the game. Many of these tree variants have colors and shapes that are very different from the vanilla tree types. Collect their wood to craft new types of wooden blocks.

With new biomes come the new trees. With new trees come new wood variants. The mod introduces four new wood variants into the game. Each one of these wood variants can be crafted into planks and can be further processed into any wooden item, similar to vanilla wood.

New Mobs

Tortoise, deers, billhook bass, etc.

The mod introduces some new mobs that will now inhabit your world. Mobs like the tortoise and deer are very unique as they are not found in most other mods. A new fish type called the Billhook Bass can be found in swampy waters.

Vanilla Mob Variants

Variation in appearance

While introducing new mobs into the game, the mod does not ignore vanilla mobs. This mod overhauls vanilla mobs by giving them new variations, so that all of them do not look the same. The new models are inspired from real-life animals.

Explosives

The mod introduces some new explosives into the game. Items like firebombs and dynamite are throwable and will explode after a set ignition period. These can be used as weapons or for other purposes.

Ink Bombs

Blind your opponent strategically

Ink bombs are a new type of explosive introduced by this mod. They are projectiles that can be thrown by the player. When the explode, they will produce a thick cloud of block particles, obstructing the victim's view. A darkness effect is also applied to players within the effective area.
