If you've ever felt like the End is the weakest dimension in Minecraft, Unusual End is the mod that fixes it. This vanilla plus mod transforms the End into a layered, dangerous, and visually stunning dimension without breaking the feel of the base game. It supports Minecraft 1.19.2 through 1.21.1 on both Forge and NeoForge, is compatible with most major End mods, and is actively maintained with regular updates.

New Biomes

New Biomes

New Biomes

Vibrant biomes with plenty of content

Unusual End adds three entirely new biomes to The End. The End Highlands get expanded with new vegetation, Raw Purpur deposits, and Chorus Cane — a renewable bamboo-like wood source. Watch out for Endstone Trappers disguised as pale End Stone blocks beneath your feet, and Undead Enderlings that turn invisible and gain extra attack reach every time they take a hit. The Gloopstone Lands is a twisted purple biome swarming with Endermite variants — including flying Enderbulbs that shoot regenerating rays at players and explode into smaller creatures on death. Finally, the Warped Reef is an eerie, aquatic-feeling zone with fish-like mobs, lootable ponds, and glowing Citrine crystal clusters growing along the seafloor.

The Endstone Golem

The Endstone Golem

A new boss in the END

The Endstone Golem is Unusual End's custom boss fight, and reaching it is half the challenge. First, loot an End House to find a map pointing to the nearest Ancient End Tower — a trap-filled dungeon loaded with Infused End Stone Tiles and Shulker Shooters designed to punish underprepared players. Fight your way to the altar at the top and pour a Dragon Breath Bottle onto it to summon the Golem. Defeat it and you'll earn the Golem Orb, a powerful reward that triggers shockwaves around you whenever you take damage.

New Structures

New Structures

New Structures

Plenty of new End structures

Beyond the Ancient End Tower, Unusual End adds several other structures worth exploring. Flying End Ships drift above the void carrying an Ancient Podium with a Void Totem — an item that auto-activates and saves you with Slow Falling when you fall into the void. Wanderer Islands are small inhabited islands where traders sell mod-exclusive items, buy your Chorus Fruits for Emeralds, and stock the Wandering Stew — consume it in any dimension and it instantly teleports you back to the Overworld. In the Warped Reef, Warped Ships and Warped Stations contain Warped Chests, a unique chest type that generates fresh loot for every individual player who opens it.

New Items and Gear

New Items and Gear

New End-based minerals introduced!

Unusual End adds a substantial set of new weapons, tools, and utility items. Pearlescent gear serves as a Netherite alternative with extended attack and block reach, while the Leeching Wand restores your health with every hit. The Warped Balloon captures mobs in a bubble for easy transport, and the Pearlescent Infuser converts new gems into long-duration potion effects — including Health Boost, attack speed, and Serenity, a situational buff that grants Fire Resistance in lava, Water Breathing while drowning, and Regeneration at low health. Six new enchantments are also added, including Everlasting (drops never despawn) and rare Bolok Enchantments earned by trading books with a special reef creature.
