The mod introduces seven new creatures in total - Unicorn, Pegasus, Nightmare, Destrier, Hippocamp, Kirin, and Reindeer. Of these, the most notable ones are the unicorn and the Pegasus. Unicorns have horns that can be utilized in combat scenarios, whereas Pegasus has flight ability, which helps the player soar the skies.

Taming a unicorn is a very easy process. You can right-click on a unicorn to sit on its back. And it will unmount you. Repeat this a couple of times until heart particles appear from the unicorn. The unicorn will no longer remove you from its back - hence tamed.

You need a saddle

Taming by itself will not allow you to control a unicorn. You need to equip it with a saddle, or else the unicorn will simply move however it likes with you on its back. Crouch and right-click on a unicorn to open its inventory. Alternatively, you can mount the unicorn and press the inventory shortcut key. In the unicorn inventory, a dedicated slot for a saddle is provided.

"Ramming" is an unique attack style of unicorn. When mounted on a unicorn, the player can press a keybind (R by default) to make the unicorn lower its head, making their horn point out straight. When in this state, the player can make the unicorn run into opponents. The horn will pierce into enemies and other mobs, and will deal damage.

Tame and fly

The steps to tame a Pegasus is exactly the same as that of taming a unicorn. But while taming a Pegasus, you have to be careful of one thing. When you mount the Pegasus, it might fly high up into the air and unmount you, making you fall from heights that can actually kill you. To prevent this, it is recommended to tame Pegasus' indoors.

Riding a Pegasus

Once tamed, you can equip a saddle and start riding the Pegasus. Press the spacebar to fly upwards and use the crouch-keybind to dive downward. You can use the WASD keys for controlling direction, but note that the direction be relative to the direction the Pegasus is facing. Basically, the W key will make the Pegasus fly straight in the direction it is facing.

The mod also introduces several new accessories that can be equipped into the various dedicated slots within your pet's inventory. You can equip horse armor, horseshoes and horse helms that are common for all creatures. Unicorns have horn caps and Pegasus' have wing tips that are unique to them.

Crossbreeding Creatures

Different creatures introduces by this mod have different abilities that prove useful in different circumstances. For example, the flight ability of a Pegasus and the ramming ability of a unicorn are useful in completely different ways. But what if you need a creature who can prove helpful in both scenarios. This is where crossbreeding comes in.

To begin, simple bring two creatures closer to one another and feed them both golden apples until hear particles appear. In this example, we are crossbreeding an Unicorn and a Pegasus. Once done, a baby mob will appear. This baby creature will have features of both its parents.

The above breeding has given birth to a combination of the Unicorn and the Pegasus, which we will call a "Pegacorn". You can feed the baby creature more golden apples to accelerate its growth. And as you can see, it has the horn of a Unicorn along with the wings of a Pegasus.
