Vanilletix Shaders

Vanilletix is an underrated shader pack that provides beautiful visuals, while not compromising on game perfromance. Let us take a detailed look at the shader pack.

Cloud Types

There are two cloud presets that can be toggled in the shader settings - Voxels and Story Mode. You can see and compare the difference in the above image slider.

Water Presets

Just like with clouds, water too has two different presets - Pixelated and Realistic. What the Realistic preset does is very suggestive by the name itself. On the other hand, the Pixelated presets make the water still appear realistic, but in a pixelated manner. The images above will better explain the visuals than words can.

Sky Colors

As time progresses, the sky will shift through different colors and gradients. The image above shows day, noon, night and midnight at the same location.

Day and Night

The Sun and the Moon are both capable of producing lens flare when they appear on the players' screen. The orange tint during the day shift to blue as night approaches.

PBR Features

Vanilletix also supports PBR texture packs. The above image shows what the PBR effects looks like with the CoffeePBR texture pack.

The Nether

The image comparison slider above shows what the Nether looks like in the vanilla game compared to the Vanilletix pack.

The End

The image comparison slider above shows what the End dimension looks like in the vanilla game compared to the Vanilletix pack. As you can see, the sky appears to have bright light effects in it.

The sky keeps on changing between a smooth and noisy gradient matrix that feels alive. Unlit areas of structures like the End City appear darker. Browsing through the image gallery above, you can also notice a massive blackhole in the End sky.

Performance

The game performance with Vanilletix enabled was really surprising. The visuals provided by the pack are on-par with shader packs such as Complementary, but the performance was much better. Based on our testing on mid-end gaming laptop, the pack provided a solid 120-130 FPS. On the same device, Complementary provided 40-50 FPS.
