Play around with over a thousand new blocks. The ultimate mod that offers block palettes for any genre of build you desire!

If you've ever run out of block variants mid-build, Block Pack is aiming to fix that. This mod throws a huge pile of new building material at vanilla Minecraft, wrapped in its own crafting system so it doesn't clutter your normal inventory or recipe book. Let us take a look at some of the coolest additions.

Instead of guessing where each block goes, you get the Blockpack Guide Book item. It walks you through the entire collection, block by block, so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. For a pack this size, that's not a nice-to-have — it's necessary. New players basically gets a guide that will help them use the new blocks to fit their theme.

All the new blocks are crafted at a dedicated Blockpack Workbench, not your standard crafting table. This keeps your vanilla recipe book clean while giving the mod its own dedicated crafting space. It's a small design choice, but it makes the mod feel more like an expansion than a clutter-adding add-on.

The recipes here don't always follow vanilla logic, so it is recommended to use JEI alongside it. That's a fair trade-off — unique recipes mean more interesting crafting chains, but they also mean you'll be looking things up. If you're not already running JEI, install it alongside this pack.

Beyond the flashy stuff, Block Pack adds subtler additions like rock-filled dirt and color variations for grass and leaves. These are the kind of blocks that don't scream for attention but quietly make terrain and builds feel less copy-pasted. It's a nice touch for anyone tired of the same three shades of green.

This is where the pack gets fun: ice bricks, blocks made of solid emeralds, blocks made of ender pearls and plenty more. These aren't things vanilla Minecraft gives you, and they open up builds — think glowing ice palaces or ender-themed structures — that just weren't possible before. It's a good reminder that decoration mods can still surprise you.

The mod adds around seven new block types for all wood variants in the game. Whatever part of the build you are working on, there is always a block that matches your aesthetics.

Just like with wood blocks, all stone variants like stone, andesite, diorite, etc. also have their own variations. Some of these can even be combined together with other blocks for truly unique looking detailing blocks.

The above image shows a few of the 1000+ new decoration blocks introduced by the mod.

Rounding things out are smaller decorative pieces like aquariums and flags. They're not the headline feature, but they're the kind of detail blocks that make a build feel finished rather than empty. Good decoration mods live or die on details like this.

I was able to build a cute little ice-themed hut in a few minutes using the newly added blocks (I am in no way a good builder). You can see new blocks dedicated to roof decoration, new carpet types, aquarium block and even an air conditioner block. New types of doors, windows, ladders, fences, etc. are also a part of the mod.
Block Pack packs a lot into one download: its own workbench, unusual crafting recipes, decoration elements, and genuinely surprising blocks like emerald and ender pearl blocks. The catch is that unique recipes basically require JEI, so factor that into your modpack if you're not already running it. The mod is less than a month old at the time of writing this article. Even at this early phase, it is genuinely impressive what the mod achieves. Download and try it out yourself!
