Multitool Mod

Inventory management is a crucial element of the survival gameplay. What goes into your inventory, and what items require dedicated slots in your hotbar can greatly determine how successful your are when dealing with different survival scenarios.

Most players dedicate 3-4 hotbar slots to hold their tools. An axe, a pickaxe, a shovel, and sometimes even hoes, are all essential tools that are required at different times. The Multitool mod is here to make dealing with these four tools a lot easier.

As the name suggests, this mod allows you to combine an axe, pickaxe, shovel and hoe into a single tool called the "Multitool". This tool only takes up one inventory slot, but does the function of all four. The durability of the multitool is three times the durability of a regular tool crafted using the respective material.

The multitool changes depending on the block that you are pointing at. If you hold the multitool and point at a wooden log, the tool in your hand will actually get converter into an axe, which is the most appropriate tool required to break the log.

Likewise, pointing at any stone or stone variant will cause the tool in your hand to get converted into a pickaxe.

Point at any block that requires a shovel to break, and the tool will get converted into a shovel. You can right click on a grass block using the shovel to convert it into a path block. But if you crouch while pointing at a grass block, the tool in your hand gets converted into a hoe, which allows you to till the grass block.

Point at leaves, and the tool gets converted into a hoe.
