Old Guns – Classic Firepower with a Retro Twist

If you’ve ever wanted to pack some vintage heat in your Minecraft world, Old Guns is a fun little mod that drops a bunch of classic firearms into the game — complete with cool animations and simple mechanics. The mod’s not trying to be the most high-tech gun mod out there, but it works, and it’s got a lot of charm because of that.

The lineup is actually pretty solid, with classics like the Thompson, MP40, Kar98k, Colt 1911, and even the AKM. There’s a total of 20+ guns, ranging from WW2 relics to early Cold War models, all crafted through a simple but unique system using steel, which you make by smelting a special iron-with-coal item you can craft.

Crafting Guns

On the crafting station, simply select the gun you wish to craft and click on the Craft icon, this consumes the required ingredients to craft the gun.

How It Plays

Gun handling’s pretty straightforward too:

• Right-click the magazine to load or remove bullets.

• Press U to unload a mag.

• Left Alt shows off a little look animation, which is honestly a fun touch.

• Press V for a quick melee smack with your gun.

It’s not overly complicated, which makes it easy to jump in and start blasting, but it still adds enough interactions to feel interesting compared to other super basic gun mods.
