Gwen’s Superflat Survival Plus

Gwen’s Superflat Survival Plus adds  features  allowing players to better enjoy their time spent in Superflat Survival. The mod adds dirt slabs and dirt walls, which can be used to build structures and foundations. Mining dirt also has a small chance of dropping rocks, which can then be crafted into gravel, cobblestone, and even a new cooking station known as the Firepit. The Firepit is crafted with one torch, four rocks, and one cobblestone, and is used to cook new items included with Gwen’s Superflat Survival Plus. One of these new items is Prepared Rotten Flesh, which can be cooked into Zombie Jerky with the Firepit. The mod also adds an opportunity to obtain emeralds from Wandering Traders, though you’ll need to trade with them to receive the precious gems. In addition to these major additions, Gwen’s Superflat Survival Plus packs in various smaller quality-of-life improvements that further enhance the Superflat Survival experience. From minor bug fixes to tweaked mechanics. Many of the features are not just good for SuperFlat but can also be helpful for traditional or SkyBlock.

Item Highlighter

This mod, known as Item Highlighter, allows players to find new items quickly by showing an animated star on all newly-picked up items. In order to use this mod, players must first download the necessary Iceberg mod. Moreover, users can also configure various settings such as whether to clear new item markers when closing their inventory or hovering over their items, and also customise the appearances of new item markers with resource packs. This mod does not require any installation on  the server only the client, and players are welcome to use it in any modpacks. If players have any problems, feature requests, or anything else, they can join the developer team's Discord server for assistance.

AttributeFix

AttributeFix is a mod which removes the arbitrary attribute limit on some things with a configurable one. With a config file, you can change the limit or make it as high as java would let you for the operator type.* Max Health if Entities (normally maxes out at 1024)* Knockback Resistance* Movement Speed* Attack speed and Damage (have limits)* Armour values (are often limited)* Armour Toughness* Luck* Follow range
These limits exist in the game, making it harder for modders to customise what they want. AttributeFix generally gets rid of these restrictions. It works on Minecraft Forge and Fabric/Quilt and uses the MultiLoader template. AttributeFix does not do much. It only really matters if some mods use its higher numbers. The mod content could also easily be added to your mod, and AttributeFix is mostly just a simple injection. Some mods which officially use AttributeFix include:Nightmare Craft: SurvivalStick of DeathChaos AwakensRaid AwakensRPGishLuminiumArmor Toughness BarAnd many more.Even if a mod does not specifically require It, it could still work, and most mods which use AF officially will boot up without it, just with the attributes being obsolete.

Trading Post [Forge & Fabric]

Trading Post [Forge & Fabric] is a mod which adds  a single block called the Trading post into the game. The trading post can be used to trade with multiple villagers at a time from 1 place.  This can be very useful for when you want to see all the trades from a nearby village but do not want to waste your time looking at all the trades offered by all of the villagers and instead want to speed up the process and trade with multiple at once and see all the trades of the nearby villagers. The Trading post is the only block added by the mod, you place it down and you will see an emerald. The emerald will lay down flat by default when there are no villagers within the preset radius for the villagers, when there are villagers in the correct place, you will see an animation with the emerald going up. This is similar to the Visual Workbench mod by the same author and uses some code from Quark. When there is a floating emerald that means there are nearby trades. Just right click the Trading Post and then start making trades. The trading table works with many custom villagers from other mods such as the Quackling from the Ducklings mod. It does not work for piglins bartering though, for that you will need a separate mod called Bartering Station. This mod was inspired by a similar trading post block from Extra Utilities. The radius of the accepted villagers can be customised by editing a config file. The config file can be found by looking in the config folder or by doing /config showfile <modid> and then selecting whether you want the client or server config. If you are on MC Forge you can configure in game with the Config Menus for Forge mod.The mod requires PuzzleLib and Forge Config API for Fabric like many of the other mods by the same creator. LunaPixelStudios (one of the biggest modpack creators) is also involved in this mod.

Duckling

Duckling is a duck mod which adds new ducks to the game. There are a few types of new ducks in the game. They are 2 main types, each with 2 subtypes, plus babies.First, there are the normal ducks, they have the green+black variant and the white variant. Both of the ducks are roughly the same and do not have major differences outside of appearance. The white one is called a white duck, and looks a tiny bit like a goose but is officially not, and the brown and green duck is a mallard duck. Both of these ducks spawn in the river biome and can be on land in the water swimming. There is another type of duck called the Quackling. The Quackling is a big tall yellow duck. It is big, bulky, tall, and yellow. Quacklings have 2 variants, one with a lilypad on its head, and one without, both are about the same. You can trade with Quacklings like you can trade with villagers, though just like villagers the trades are not good and should be avoided. The mod has spawn eggs for both of the ducks that at random spawn one, but there is also an egg called the duck egg which is similar to the normal egg but instead of having a small chance to drop a chicken it instead has the possibility to drop a duck. There are also 3 main food items. Those areRaw     Duck Meat – You get from ducksCooked     Duck Meat – You get from cooking raw duck meatHoliday     Fruit cake – A cake-like food that Quacklings eatNormal ducks in general are a lot just like chickens so if you want more types of chickens that are not exactly chickens like mods that add multiple chickens, this mod may be good. The mod requires GeckoLib, so it is important to keep that in mind.

Inventory Profiles Next

Inventory Profiles Next is an inventory sorting mod that provides a button in your inventory for helping you do various sorting tasks. Here is an explanation of what many of the buttons do and their locations in the Inventory Graphical User Interface.Overlay     Configuration Screen – Found on the top Left by default and lets     you change many settings and even see some of the in-game code class     names.General     Configuration Screen – Found directly under the Overlay     Configuration Screen is where you go to edit most of the stuff about     the mod including text files, sort orders, and many more. The mod is     extremely configurable.Sort     Inventory Button – Looks like a Z, found in a set of 3 buttons     found in inventories and it helps you sort the items in order     without gaps. Does not affect items in the HUD barSort     Inventory in Columns – Next to the Sort Inventory Button, it sorts     related items such as different types of stone-related blocks in     columns. Does not affect items in the HUD bar.Sort     Inventory in Rows – Next to the Column sort, but does in rows,     though has a weird layout sometimes. Does not affect items in the     HUD bar.On the chests next to the last 3 buttons you should see another icon that gives you keyboard shortcuts. Keyboard shortcuts can be configured and are mainly used for these things:Ability     to also include the Hotbar/Hud Bar in movingOnly     fill the chest up enough to fill existing stacks without creating     new ones   Move     only the same type of items as the type selected (some arrow-based     mods do this with an Arrow Click) Move     all Items into the chestThe keyboard shortcuts can be quite useful for some stuff, though in some ways better Buttons could be better like they have in Wurst for chests, the keyboard is often faster though, but harder to remember for some. The mod is highly configurable and uses libIPN for a lot of the config and has a great and very detailed GUI config screen to configure many of the smallest details with good visuals, it is more detailed than average GUI config systems. There are also many other things the mod can do such as replacing almost broken tools and locking item slots. The mod is client-side only and does not need to be installed on the server to work.It is important to note that this mod does not do everything done by inventory tweaks and it is either recommended you install them together to get both of the functionalities or install InvTweaks Emu for IPN to emulate many of the shortcuts. There is also a mod called IPN Rejects which is an addon which adds things that the author decided not to include in the base mod. The mod also highlights items you are hovering over green or items that would be included in an operation you are doing that involves multiple similar items.Requires libIPN and Fabric Language Kotlin.

Bamboo Everything (Forge/Fabric)

Bamboo Everything (Forge/Fabric) is a mod which adds new block types from bamboo similar to the types of blocks that wood has. It basically turns bamboo into wooden planks. There are 2 types of bamboo, normal green bamboo and yellowish dry bamboo which are added to the mod. The main difference between the 2 is the appearance, though the dry bamboo looks similar to wood, though is much cheaper. Dry bamboo is obtained by smelting normal bamboo, so it may be more expensive if you do not have a cheap source of energy. The built-in datapack registers the bundles as planks so they can be used to make things like wooden tools. Bamboo already in vanilla has a built-in crafting recipe for crafting sticks from bamboo. Many of the green bamboo blocks look much nicer than the wood variants for some things, especially ladders. Additionally bamboo is generally much cheaper and renewable and easier to harvest than trees, you often need to wait to let the leaves dissolve for saplings to come and cut down all the logs manually while with bamboo grows very fast and can just cut the bamboo 1 block up and let it grow back again. If you do not like the issue with the trees you can use a mod like Dynamic Trees or Falling Trees.Bamboo Everything is in general a very good mod if you want a way to get lots of new green wood which grows very fast without needing lots of normal trees and dealing with the hassle of growing them. Some of the blocks/items it adds are: FencesFence PostsLaddersDry Bamboo and VariantsSlabsStairsBundlesMoreThe raft is pretty cool it is like a boat without the guard rails but it still runs about the same. Despite the raft’s appearance, it is meant to be crafted with green bamboo, not dry bamboo.

FallingTree (Forge&Fabric)

FallingTree (Forge&Fabric) is a mod which makes trees automatically break when one of the logs are broken. Like many similar mods, you need an axe to work, without an axe or in creative mode and with a non-axe item. There are 2 modes:Instantaneous –     Makes it so the whole tree falls down when a single log is brokenShift Down –     Makes it so when you break 1 log only the top log on the tree comes     down, which is not as much of cheating as Instant, but still gets     rid of the massive annoyance of getting the top logs. This is     different than similar mods where in some similar mods or plug-ins     Shift can either be required to cut down all the logs or be used to     cut only a single log, so shift is a different key in many mods so     it is important to keep track of what it does in this mod, do note     though that this mod actually adds both of the alternate modes     mentioned such as sneak to disable or sneak required in the config     so it is important to keep track of this. The mod is highly customisable, some of the things you can customise are:   What blocks and     leaves are considered trees (good for some modpacks and modded trees     and content)The tools which     can be allowed (alternate axe types or other tools entirely Whether or not     leaves are also taken down.Ability to     modify whether sneak is required or makes the ability disabled The ability to     change the speed to chop down the tree based on size ( such as if     you want bigger trees to take longer to cut like some other mods do.    Decide whether     or not the tools take damage (you can also make it so that tools can     take damage based on the number of blocks broken and so axes with 1     durability cant mine if you want). The mod requires Cloth Config to do some of the config, it can be installed separately. There is a wiki for info on config. This mod is very good for if you have some mods with really massive trees similar to like the ones Orespawn had, it is also very customisable but not quite as game changing as Dynamic Trees (which changes the shape of some trees, adds twigs, and has animations). There are many server side plugins which do similar things, all in all it is generally a pretty good vanilla plus mod.

Charm

Charm is a vanilla plus mod which adds a lot of new content as well as a lot of tweaks to the existing game. From basic storage blocks, and new types of wood, to new entities and world generation, this is one of the more extensive vanilla plus mods. There are a few storage blocks with custom abilities, the Sugar and Gunpower blocks are both power storage blocks, and both fall similarly to gravel and sand, but Sugar disappears when mixed with water and gunpower when mixed with lava. There are also ender pearl blocks, which convert silverfish that go onto it into Endermites and eating Chorus fruit teleports you to them instead of a random location, but both can be turned off in the config. There is also a pressure plate called the Player pressure plate that is crafted with gilded Blackstone that only the player can step on.You no longer need to use 9 Redstone to make a Redstone block, there is a new type of block called Redstone sand which is 8 Redstone and a block of sand, however, it does fall making it useless for some builds. There is also a new lantern type from Redstone and iron nuggets that lights up from Redstone signal.New types of wood added include Azalea Wood and Ebony wood. They have their own textures and saplings. Totems of preserving protect your stuff when you die and do not despawn. Raid Horns are another item which is very useful as they stop raids. There are also other random items such as coral sea lanterns, copper rails and clear item frames and different variants for many items are added for different types of wood, materials, colours, and other attributes. Some new variants for items include variants for:  Bundles Glints   Boats    Bookshelves    Animals  (often coloured differently)    Barrels    Nuggets    Bars    Chests   Chains     (requires extra nuggets config feature)    Lanterns     (requires extra nuggets config feature)    And     so much moreThere are also new mobs added such as Coral Squids and Mooblooms (like flower-based Mooshrooms). Mobs in general where many of the changes are also made such as changing the appearance of snow golems (which have largely been forgotten about by the community recently, though the old texture has a charm), beacons healing tamed animals, witches dropping luck, and other stuff. There are also new changes to enchantments, such as a new enchantment called Ærial Affinity which makes it so you can mine faster when you are not grounded and another enchantment that makes block drops go directly into your inventory. There is also a way to convert items to enchanted books with grindstones, which is partly based on the code from Grind Enchantments.A new type of weather is also added, snow storms make that already kinda good but also kind of boring snow much more extreme and exciting, but can also cause the player to freeze if they are not wearing leather armour and there will be many new layers of snow generated. This is a very large mod with lots of random changes, it would be impossible to cover all of them, but you can read their wiki to get information about many of them. There are also 2 addons, Strange and Charmonium which add new functionality or music. The mod was largely inspired by Quark it is primarily for Fabric, but an official forge port called Charm Reforge exists while claiming to be 1.14.4 and newer only appears to have a 1.16.5 version so far and has not been updated in over a year. Pre 1.16.5 versions do not have the ReForged Suffix.

Visual Workbench

Visual Workbench is a simple Vanilla Plus QOL mod which adds a visual effect to crafting tables. When crafting, the items will appear on top of the crafting table just slightly hovering. The result item is in the centre above the rest of the items. This makes it look a lot like the crafting in the music videos where they show crafting stuff physically instead of undercover. One big thing that is actually different within the game is that by default you will need to manually take your items out of the crafting table, if you just leave the crafting table the items inside the crafting table stay within the crafting table. There is 1 big drawback though, that is of in-game security. This mod enables people around you to see what you are doing, this makes it possible for them to plot against you more easily and makes it not good. This mod is mostly an appearance mod but can cause issues with regards to security/privacy for the players. The mod is does work with other modded crafting tables. Many are built in, but you can still add new ones by editing a config file at .minecraft/config/visual_workbench.json and simply adding the id of the crafting table to the array. Other parts of the game can be configured in MC Forge in game if the mod “Config Menus for Forge” is installed. On Fabric (what we used to test) there is not currently a way to do any config in game. The main config file is just a TOML file which has a few fields such as flat rendering instead of 3D rendering and the ability to turn on or off the result display. Config is different on server.Visual Workbench is involved with LunaPixel studios who are involved in a lot of other big projects. The mod was influenced by RealBench for 1.12.2 and uses some code from Crafting Station. The mod also requires Forge Config API For Fabric for Fabric and Puzzles API.

Jade πŸ”

Jade is a special version of HWYLA that is easier to use. It has extra features and fixes bugs that make HWYLA better, it is a modern more updated version fork of Hwyla/Waila for Minecraft. It is designed to provide players with an improved user experience and API. Jade can be  client side only, but many features require it to be installed on the server side as well (such as item storage, horse stats, and bees in a beehive). There are many addons for both Forge and Fabric/Quilt. The default keys are as follows: Keypad 0 opens the configuration screenKeypad 1 toggles the overlayKeypad 2 toggles liquid displayKeypad 3 shows recipes (requires Just Enough Items)Keypad 4 shows uses (requires JEI and the mod to be     configured for it) Keypad 5 narrates the target.     Compared to Hwyla, Jade includes a redesigned API,  more vanilla addons, and better configuration and accessibility. Some features include item handlers, which show items inside Item handlers, which shows things that are in such as chests,     hoppers, and ender chests.     A breaking progress feature, which shows a small progress bar     when a block is being broken indicating progress.     A brewing stand feature, which shows the fuels and process     time.      Mob effects which shows what potion effects mobs have.     Entity and plant growth is also shown, which shows the     growing time and breeding cooldown of animals.     Horse stats are also shown, including jump height, speed, and     strength of horses and llamas. Item frame contents are also shown,     which shows the item in the item frame.     The mod also has a hide mod names feature, which hides the     mod name in the tooltip.     Beehives  shows the bees and honey in beehives.     Armour stands shows the armours on the armour stand.     Chicken eggs are also show the time before the next egg.     Command blocks show which commands are in the command line. Many more For modders, the mod also has additional tooltip renderers, such as the name of the mod according to Fabric or MCForge (Note this can work for loaders on top of loaders, such as FeatureCreep mods would just show the namespace for the individual item while the built in FeatureCreep items say FeatureCreepMC) this means it can work well for instances with multiple modloaders installed, which is often a concern for configs like this. Searching the modname or namespace can help you search for items in the creative menu. All of these features make the Jade Mod a great addition to Minecraft. Do note that you can not use this together with original  HWYLA due to conflicting classes and packages.

Nears

The Near mod is the perfect addition to any Nether-themed pack, adding a plethora of new fruits to the Nether. The mod adds two new fruits - Nears and Faars - which grow on bushes. To obtain these, you can break crimson and warped roots to get respective fruit's bush seeds. With these, you can make a variety of foods depending on your needs and desires. The mod also adds soul berries which can be found from soul bushes in soul sand valleys. What makes the Near mod stand out is its upcoming overhaul. Many of the blocks and items will change a lot as new content is added, so older worlds will be incompatible. This means players can look forward to a new and improved version of the mod with the new versions of the mod such as the 1.20 update. With all the new features being implemented, it is sure to provide an even more immersive Nether experience. The Near mod is an excellent mod for any Nether-themed pack, allowing players to make use of a variety of new fruits. It’s easy to use and provides a unique experience for players. With its upcoming overhaul, players can look forward to an even better version of the mod with more features. So if you’re looking for a great mod to add to your Nether-themed pack, then the Near mod. There appear to be 10 currently in the mod right now, they do not appear to have any special abilities at the moment,  though I am sure they will expand the mod more and make the food more unique in upcoming updates. Many of the foods and drinks have special appearances, some based on vanilla (like stew and some drinks) while others have completely original textures such as the Nears and Faars. It is a good Vanilla + Mod as it does not have much that is that extreme and just enhances existing nether biomes. It is Fabric and Quilt only, though an unofficial MC Forge Port does exist based on MCreator.

Choice Theorem's Overhauled Village Generation

Choice Theorem's Overhauled Village Generation is a Minecraft mod by the developer Choice Theorem that updates the game's village generation system. It adds a plethora of new features to the game, including new structures, mob types, and more. With this mod, players can create their own unique villages and customise them to their liking. The mod comes with over 20 original village variants and lots of other new structures related to biomes. The mod starts off by replacing the vanilla village generation system with a new one. This new system includes more variation in the types of structures that can be found in villages, as well as more size and shape variations. Players will also find new types of mobs, including different types of villagers and new types of animals, such as horses, cows, and pigs that are normally found in villages.   However the most important part to the mod is the new structures . These structures can be used to create unique buildings and fortifications, adding an extra layer of complexity to the game. These structures are what allows players to create their own villages and customise them to their liking. Overall, Choice Theorem's Overhauled Village Generation mod is an excellent way to enhance the game's village generation system, which is fairly primitive in the vanilla game with Mojang abandoning huge parts villages and features related to the villages.  If you're looking for a way to make the game's village generation system more interesting and engaging, then this mod is definitely worth checking out. It is available for Fabric/Quilt/Forge and also Datapack for 1.17.1 and newer, if you ask for older you will be sent to Brasil by the dev (yes that is literally something he says on some of his pages when asked for backports) because the technical limit is too high. There are many new villages in a huge gallary. It is perfectly safe to add CTOV to an existing world and update worlds with CTOV. The Structures are compatible with the /locate command making finding the villages fairly easy. It is server side only and does not need to be installed on the client in most cases as it is a server-resource-pack (a datapack). The mod part is mostly init files for the loader, there is not very much Java. It is important to note though that this does modify existing vanilla structures and could have compatibility issues with other mods which do the same thing. If you want to add this mod to a modpack you should also link back to the original curseforge page. The mod has been tested as compatible with many world generation mods such as Terralith, Oh The Biomes You’ll Go,Biomes O’ Plenty, MCA Reborn, and others.  Waystones, Farmer’s Delight, More Villagers, Croptiopia, and Bountiful, with more planned, have their own addon datapacks which can be installed separately for compatibility.Though some issues do exist such as the error:[17:45:30] [Worker-Main-19/WARN]: Empty or non-existent pool: ctov:village/red_fortified/start_road[17:46:82] [Worker-Main-19/WARN]: Empty or non-existent pool: ctov:village/red_fortified/start_roadNote: 1.17.1 Version is a datapack and should be put in the datapacks folder and enabled upon world creation.

Horse Buff

Horse Buff is a QoL (Quality of Life) mod that adds various tweaks to horses. The tweets vary from removing potentially unnecessary stuff, adding new stuff to make horses better, or even fixing bugs that Mojang has not fixed themselves in some versions.Horse Buff has different effects on the server and the client, so it is important that you have the mod on both the server and the client to get the full effect of the mod. One of the biggest changes is that a horse can walk through portals without dismounting, which can make it essential for fast interdimensional missions that require you to quickly switch dimensions. It works with both the nether and the end, and possibly with modded dimensions. Do note, however, that the bug is only fixed when the player is riding the horse as a vehicle, as riding it another way and having this work would change the game. It is also important to note that with the nether, you still need to wait some time for you to be sucked into the portal unless you have some mod that reduces the time, so it will not be like the music videos where you can just fly right into the nether; you will still need to wait, though this does not exist with the end, which is more sudden.Another change is that when riding on slabs, in vanilla, the horse has a jerking motion when riding on the stairs, this mod reduces it. This also makes stepping on blocks easier by increasing the step height from 1 to 1,1. This slight change makes climbing over bumps with horses so much easier—a little like an auto jump.Another good change is that you can also dig at normal speed when riding a horse. In vanilla, while riding on a horse, your digging speed is reduced; however, with this mod, it is normal again. One more good thing about tamed horses is that if they have a saddle, they will not wander around, so you will not have as many issues finding them if you need to spend some time away.Perhaps the most innovative server-side feature is the new breeding system. It takes traits from the parents and adds 10% random traits from each of them, give or take, and then clamps them to the vanilla minimum and maximum stats. This is mostly in horse breeding, so it may not be as noticeable to the average player, but it does produce more interesting horses in some cases. There are also some client-side features; however, these are less noticeable, kind of optional, and do not always work. You do not need the mod installed on the client if you do not want it in most cases, as the mod does not add any new registry keys that the server needs to sync. One of the client-side features is that if you look down, you can see through your horse more with a fade, making it easier to do things while looking down, like go down a hill. Another cool feature is the ability to modify the horse’s head pitch offset, which is basically the position of the horse’s head and makes it easier to see. The most important client-side feature is that you can see your player's survival inventory instead of the horse's (which is accessible with the normal E).The keys can be changed with your Minecraft keybinds. There is a final, more cosmetic change, where if you have a name tag named "jeb_" it is supposed to make the horses rainbow and change colours, a little like sheep do; however, we could not get this feature to work on our instance. The mod comes bundled with Cloth Config API to configure the mod.You can see examples on their GitHub https://github.com/CodeF53/Horse-Buff

More Axolotl Variants

More Axolotl Variants is a mod which adds more  Axolotls to the game. The Axolotls are similar to the existing  Axolotls in the vanilla game, but they are different colours. These Axolotls can be spawned via the normal Axolotl spawn egg, it will randomly spawn a random Axolotl. You can still get a Vanilla Axolotl, but you also have a chance to get one of the Axolotls from this mod when using the vanilla spawn egg. The Axolotls also support having children just like other animals, just right click the floor near an existing Axolotl and it will make a mini axolotl of the same type. There are 2 Axolotls that may not be spawned with the spawn egg that also do not spawn naturally, these are the Skulk Axolotl and the Glowxolotl, these must be obtained with breeding. The breed axolotls you need buckets with tropical fish, but there are a large amount of Axolotls in the mod so it may take a while to get one of the existing ones. You can spawn most of the axolotls with commands also. The command format is /summon minecraft:axolotl [pos] {Variant:"mavm:<variantname>"}The Axolotls can do stuff like swim and other stuff like vanilla, and some of the variants in the mod are Lucia, Wilder, Golden, Green, Skulk, Dark, Red, Glowxolotl, White, Cyanide, and more. The glow one looks a lot like the glow squid and glows. The mod is officially only for 1.17 and newer, however there is a backport that is endorsed by the original creators for 1.16.5 which is an addon for the Caves and Cliffs Backport Mod. The main difference is that the command uses cavesandcliffs:axolotl rather than minecraft:axolotl like this:/summon cavesandcliffs:axolotl [pos] {Variant:<variantnumber>b}Newer versions of the mod also  requires an api called More Axolotl Variants API. The mod also has compatibility with Axolotl Bucket Fix. More Axolotls Variants is a good Vanilla+ or QoL Mod to enhance your world.
