Most of the shaders made for Minecraft aim to make the game look as realistic as possible. But standing out from the rest, the PixelCraft Shaders offers a unique approach with a different goal in mind.
Being the Complementary Shaderpack's edit, PixelCraft tweaks the visuals to make your game resemble pixel art. It does this successfully, making every screenshot taken with this shaderpack enabled look like a work of art.
Aside from giving the game a pixelated look, the pack actually includes numerous high-end shader effects that you can tweak in the shaderpack settings to achieve the visual appeal you desire.
An example would be the water reflections, which look better than those in some mid to high-end shaderpacks. Even with the pixelated screen, you'll notice the high-quality water reflections.
By accessing the shaderpack settings, you can adjust the level of pixelation. Lowering the pixelation value will increase the pixelated effect on your game. The image above will give you a clearer idea.
During daylight, you'll notice some high-quality lighting effects when sunlight is visible. At night, darker areas will appear even darker, adding a sense of realism despite the pixelated screen.
These lighting effects, when combined with the varying light differences in the Nether dimension, create a unique and visually stunning experience. Check out the screenshots tab for larger images.
PixelCraft is compatible with both OptiFine and Iris shaders.
