Dawn API

Dawn API is an API that is used to make various mods for Minecraft. It is a library mod for many of the mods of the Dawn team, adding utility classes and other typical APIs for constructing mods. It aims to be available for the latest version of Minecraft at a given time and focuses mainly on builder classes to make the creation of new features easier, as well as a bunch of data fixing tools and generation. For developers, the Dawn API can be added to the build.gradle of a Gradle project for Fabric, you need to add a few maven repositories as shown on the github, as well as some by other modders like terraformer’s and shedaniel for optional mods. You will also need to set dawn_version = [version] in the gradle.properties.For players, the Dawn API has its own features, which you can get just by having the mod installed. These include:Extra     NBT parameters for TNT TileEntityA     flying block entity that is similar to a flying falling block /export     command, which can be used to export information about a game’s     content./motion     command, which lets you control the motion and velocity of entities./foodbar     command lets you change the hunger and saturation of entities./health     command lets you control the health of entities. Most of the features are mostly about controlling various elements of blocks and entities, which could be useful for some modpacks and maps, mob battles, or just having fun. Dawn API also has a contributor’s guide on their GitHub for people who want to add their own stuff, which also explains how to get started with development. Dawn API necessitates the use of Fabric API or Quilted Fabric API.Dawn API is mostly for Fabric in general. The developers of Dawn API are also behind Promenade, Culinaire, Artisanat, Mubble, Universal Ores, and other primarily Fabric mods, some of their mods use Dawn API, so if you use them you may want to get Dawn API.Dawn API also has built in compatibility with Cloth Config, Mod Menu, and AppleSkin.

Happiness (is a) Warm Gun

Happiness (is a) Warm Gun  is a gun mod which adds various 3D guns to minecraft. This gun is one of the most detailed guns mod, having many 3D models and special effects. The guns vary, there are some guns which are like machine guns which shoot very fast, and others which you need to reload each time. There are different types of ammo, such as fuel, bullets, and other, and each gun has its own ammo type, reload amount, and reload frequency and other attributes which are listed under the item.  Ammo does not really matter in creative move, which can shoot any gun without the ammo. Many of the guns are based off of real guns, like shotguns, revolvers, machine guns, flame throwers, and much more. It is also based off of the games Doom (which there is also another mod for by one of the contributors named AzureDoom) and Team Fortress 2.The Flame thrower lets you actually shoot fire and light blocks on fire. The mod adds a few different types of mobs, mostly villager types (different variants for Desert/Forest/Taiga/Snow), but this mod also changes the weapons of existing mobs, mostly the illagers and Technodemons in the nether. Guns and ammo can be obtained by killing a lot of them. There is also a gun table which is what is used to get most of the guns. The main materials used are iron, gold, gunpowder, and various other ingredients. Some weapons can only be found in chests found around the world. The names of the Guns provided in the mod are:PistolLuger    Silenced Pistol    Flare Gun    AK-47    SMG    Shotgun    Tommy Gun    Sniper Rifle    Grenade     Launcher    Rocket Launcher    Flame Thrower    Minigun    Balrog    Brimstone    Golden Gun    Hellhorse     Revolver    Meanie Gun    Incinerator     Unit    More in the     futureThe grenade Launcher can make big explosions, but the grenades are expensive and it takes a long time to load, and the minigun is also good but takes up a lot of bullets and does not do much damage with each bullet. RocketLauncher can also shoot rockets which do not do much damage to the terrain but can do lots of damage to the entities which hit it.The mod is for 1.16.5 and newer only on Fabric (and forks like Quilt), the developers have stated they do not plan to back port and do not want Forge ports. This mod also requires GeckoLib (also known as AzureLib) and is an example of a mod which uses geckolib that is not focused on mobs, but rather on item animations.Despite having such high quality models, the mod is pretty light weight, does not take up too much size, and most of the textures are made in plain JSON and are not really massive like 32x32. The Whole mod is under 1MB making it good for modpacks that should not be large. The authors allow modpacks to be hosted anywhere, like Technic or MinecraftStorage, but prefer if the modpack is hosted on CurseForge so they can get some of the profit.

More Axolotl Variants

More Axolotl Variants is a mod which adds more  Axolotls to the game. The Axolotls are similar to the existing  Axolotls in the vanilla game, but they are different colours. These Axolotls can be spawned via the normal Axolotl spawn egg, it will randomly spawn a random Axolotl. You can still get a Vanilla Axolotl, but you also have a chance to get one of the Axolotls from this mod when using the vanilla spawn egg. The Axolotls also support having children just like other animals, just right click the floor near an existing Axolotl and it will make a mini axolotl of the same type. There are 2 Axolotls that may not be spawned with the spawn egg that also do not spawn naturally, these are the Skulk Axolotl and the Glowxolotl, these must be obtained with breeding. The breed axolotls you need buckets with tropical fish, but there are a large amount of Axolotls in the mod so it may take a while to get one of the existing ones. You can spawn most of the axolotls with commands also. The command format is /summon minecraft:axolotl [pos] {Variant:"mavm:<variantname>"}The Axolotls can do stuff like swim and other stuff like vanilla, and some of the variants in the mod are Lucia, Wilder, Golden, Green, Skulk, Dark, Red, Glowxolotl, White, Cyanide, and more. The glow one looks a lot like the glow squid and glows. The mod is officially only for 1.17 and newer, however there is a backport that is endorsed by the original creators for 1.16.5 which is an addon for the Caves and Cliffs Backport Mod. The main difference is that the command uses cavesandcliffs:axolotl rather than minecraft:axolotl like this:/summon cavesandcliffs:axolotl [pos] {Variant:<variantnumber>b}Newer versions of the mod also  requires an api called More Axolotl Variants API. The mod also has compatibility with Axolotl Bucket Fix. More Axolotls Variants is a good Vanilla+ or QoL Mod to enhance your world.

Enderscape

Enderscape is an End enhancement mod designed to make the end more enjoyable with things like new biomes, items, mobs, blocks, decorations, and more. While the end is normally pretty boring, especially in newer updates with the islands, this mod tries to make the end more fun, a lot like the overworld but with more of an end theme. Some of the biomes include theCelestial Plains, which is kind of like a mushroom biome with lots of brown plants, tall blank mushrooms, and various end mobsCorrupt Depths is a biome found beneath the end islands with strange plants and glowing stalactites from top to bottom. And a lot moreThey contain a bunch of different items that can be used as decoration for your base; often with a purple or brown theme, the plants would make a good addition to the garden. There is also a new material called Nebulite which has special abilities, and a mirror, which also has special abilities. Both can be used in conjunction with the cauldrons. Lots of the stuff is celestial themed, like many other mods that add things at the end. This mod has different variations for its blocks, like the ability to build things like signs and doors. There are three main new mobs added; two of them are Drifters and Rubblemites. The drifters look like a combination of jellyfish and mushrooms and fly in the plains, while Rubblemites are brown creatures that are small and roam the floor. The mod in general makes the End look very nice, and it looks even nicer with shaders, such as Nostalgia Shaders. The content in this mod is much more quality of life based and is not as overkill as other end overhaul mods such as BetterEnd; you do not even get to the modded biomes until you venture out, and the mobs are not very powerful and easy to kill with vanilla gear, and the drops are also not overly powerful, making this a good Vanilla Plus Friendly end overhaul mod, though it can still be used in conjunction with other end mOutside of the Fabric API/Quilted Fabric API, BCLib is also required. BCLib has a lot of features, such as custom worldgen, especially in other dimensions such as the End via BetterX. When starting the game with BCLib for the first time, you will get a configuration screen giving you many options, such as the ability to turn off the BetterX world generator, the ability to turn off the Unsupported Settings Screen (similar to Shutup Experimental Settings! and Disable Custom Worlds Advice), and more, though it only comes up once.

Cobblemon

Cobblemon is a Pokémon based mod that adds various new Pokémon-based mobs to the game that you can capture and fight with, mimicking an actual game of Pokémon similar to the GameBoy games. The first time I loaded a world, I had datapack issues, but they went away once I restarted the game. Upon successfully loading a world, you will be greeted with a caption on your screen saying, "Press m to choose your Pokémon and begin your journey!" Upon pressing m, you will get a menu where you can choose a few Pokémon. The starting selection is comprised of: Bulbasaur  – a plant and poison-based Cobblemon that looks a little like a turtle.    Charmander-  a fire-based Cobblemon that looks a bit like a standing dragon.Squirtle – A water-based, turtle-themed Cobblemon that can harden into a shell. These are three of the best-known Pokémon, and most players familiar with Pokémon should know them. The selection roaster shows a general colour for each Pokémon, which energy type it is (e.g., Water/Poison/Plant/Fire), a small description of the Pokémon, its name, arrows to sort through them, an "I choose you!" button to make your selection, and a few other buttons. Once you select your Pokémon, you will be able to use them in fights. Pokémon show up at random around your world, and when you come across one, you are able to fight it or interact with it in different ways. When you come across a Pokémon in the wild, you will get to see their name and their level. You want to try to battle lower level Pokemon. Your pokemon starts at level 10, but the pokemon you see in the wild range from level 14 to level 30. The higher the level of the pokemon, the harder it will be to defeat; you also probably want to fight against one that has a weakness towards your energy type. Over the years, the types of energy have expanded from just Fire/Water/Plant/Poison to a wide variety of different types; you should read about the different types and their strengths and weaknesses for different Pokémon energy types or consult this chart. It is good to get a large variety of different Pokémon with different energy types to use their strengths and weaknesses, you get them by fighting weak Pokemon against your existing Pokemon. Often when playing the card game, energies are forgotten about, so energy may be a new concept to Pokémon card players who do not use energies that much. If you feel you are ready to fight a Pokémon, you can press the "r" key to battle it.In a battle, you have multiple attack types on many Pokémon; each has its own strengths and weaknesses; some may only work occasionally; others may work depending on attributes such as the opposing pokemon's energy type and level. The attacks are turn based, like other Pokemon-style games. In battle, you can also switch your Pokémon, attempt to catch the opposing Pokemon with a Pokeball, or just run and try to escape the battle. You can also move your Pokemon around. Pokeballs are the main item in the game and are used for catching Pokémon. They can be thrown at various Pokemon to try to catch them, though it does not always work. There are many different Pokémon with various abilities and strengths. This mod is very similar to the popular Pixelmon mod; however, it is open source rather than ARR (rather Mozilla Public) for newer versions, does not have the split between legitimate successors, and is a new mod with new developers on new versions of the game and on Fabric. There are a lot of developers, mostly artists and modelers, and this mod is still very new and in many ways already better than Pixelmon, especially in the user interface. They also have their own modpack, just like Pixelmon. Though there have been a lot of legal issues surrounding the whole Pokémon and Pixelmon MC Modding Saga, it is possible that legal issues may arise later on from either the Pixelmon team (or one of the claimed successors), or from Nintendo. If this does happen, MinecraftStorage will help defend and archive the mod against censorship. The authors of Cobblemon have stated in their discord that they would not be mad at people who play other Pokémon mods. This has many great animations and does not require Geckolib or any other animation mod.Requires Architectury API.

Regions Unexplored

The release of Minecraft 1.18 has been a true blessing for world-gen mods, as you can see with the release of mods like this one.Regions Unexplored adds a massive amount of new biomes, blocks, plants and flair to your world, all perfectly integrated into the game. From the imposing Spires to the glistening Prisma Chasm. Most of the new biomes are in the Overworld, but you can find some of them in the Nether too. It's important to keep in mind that most of the content of this mod is decorative and purely here to make your world feel more interesting and alive, so if you're looking for shiny armors and weapons, you may want to try something else. This is a Forge mod and Download links are given below.

Critters and Companions

Critters and Companions is an absolutely adorable mod that adds multiple mobs to the game, with a few of them having useful functionalities and some being decorative. You will find them in rivers, plains, the ocean and some other locations, with the Koi, Ferret, Otter, Dragonfly, Red Panda and Dumbo Octopus being some major examples.Dragonflies can be tamed with spider eyes to help you out during combat, Otters will attack fish near them and eat whatever fish you right click them with, but they'll also open clams that you can get from fishing. This will get you pearls, that you can use to make a necklace that gives you major buffs for underwater exploration.Ferrets can be tamed with raw rabbit and will dig for loot if you give them raw chicken, or assist you when looking for animals to hunt. If you find enough Koi Fish grouped together in a river, they'll give you a Luck buff. This mod offers versions for both Forge and Fabric. Download links are given below.

Item Borders

Item borders is a mod that directly enhances the visuals of Minecraft items in your inventory by adding custom item borders. On its own, the mod does not apply special borders to most items (Common items are disabled by default, I have made it visible so you can see directly how it looks if you use to change it), so it is up to the user or mod pack designer to customize as needed. The mod offers many customization options in its configuration file. You can edit how borders look if they should match legendary tooltip rarities, border visibility on your hotbar, and many other features. Note: The mod requires Iceberg and Prism(For versions 1.2+) to work properly in newer versions.

Legendary tooltips

Legendary Tooltips is a mod that directly enhances the visuals of Minecraft items in your inventory by adding custom item borders and some quality-of-life features. On its own, the mod does not apply special borders to most items, so it is upto the user or mod pack designer to customize as needed. One of its more interesting features is the rendering of an item in its tooltip when hovered upon in the inventory or its way of compressing the lore text of any custom-made item in the game. (As you can see in my basic custom-made item in screenshots, which was made to showcase this exact feature) The mod also offers customizations with the use of its configuration and resource packs. Borders can be customized via resource packs which are capable of replacing the default border included in the mod with up to 16 custom borders that can be used by the mod.Note: The mod requires Iceberg and Prism(For versions 1.3+) to work properly in newer versions.

Wurst

Wurst is a mod that gives you advantages. It allows you to perform block telemetry, walk on water, walk on scaffolds, get PVP assistance, excavate, find items, and more.It has a menu that can be accessed by pressing the right control key on your keyboard, but this can be changed in the settings. Clicking this gives you a list of a bunch of utilities you can use and the ability to easily change settings. This screen used to look very cool and have a search button, but no longer has the search button and instead tries to mimic other similar mods, though it still looks pretty good. Utilities can also be accessed with commands that start with dots (.).There are many mods similar to Wurst, some of them are free, while others cost money. Wurst is one of the most popular utility mods common on multiplayer servers. Some people consider it a cheat client because it can do some stuff that normal players can't do, but there are also some non-cheat features it has, such as automation, an example of this would be the excavation feature or the tunnel feature, which help get rid of much of the digging for terraforming projects; treebot, which automatically finds and chops down trees, as well as some auto clicking features for automatically clicking. Wurst like other utility clients, is recommended on many anarchy servers like 2b2t.There are many cool features in Wurst. A few of them are:Blocking TelemetryFullbright – Turns the Brightness to MaxItemESP – Highlights Item entitesMobESP – Highlights MobsBaseFinder - Highlights areas that are suspected of being tampered with by players.CaveFinder – Highlights CavesMobSpawnESP—Highlights areas where mobs can spawn and when they can spawn.ChestESP – Highlights chestsNoFall – Prevents the player from taking fall damage.Nuker – Digs area around PlayerScaffoldWalk - When you walk on the edge, it automatically places blocks beneath you.KillAura – Automatically kills nearby entities.MultiAura – KillAura but on multiple EnemiesExcavator – Digs a selected area with the tool you are holding.NoWeb – Webs don’t slow you.JetPack – Lets you Go Straight UpJesus – Lets you walk on WaterSpider – Lets you climb wallsFast Break – Single-clicking a block and waiting a fraction of a second breaks it.InstantBunker – Automatically builds a preconfigured bunker if you have Cobble StoneTunneller – digs a tunnel as per the user's settings.Sneak – Auto ShiftSpeedHack – Makes Player go fasterAutoSprint - Automatically makes the player sprint.Auto Eat – Automatically eats when hunger goes downSo many moreIt is important to note that not all of these work or are recommended at all times. For example, some require creative mode to work, and some of them can be blocked by the servers' anti cheat. Some utilities, such as Nuker, have legit modes that are supposed to bypass some anticheats; however, not all anticheats are covered by Wurst. They do have different modes for different anticheats for different utilities in Wurst, but not all of them are always safe to use, and some server owners may ban you. Some utilities, such as Miley Cirus, are just for fun and kind of worthless, while others, such as AutoEat, are not good to use and not suggested as they can get in your way.Wurst used to be a client, which you would install as its own version; however, around the 1.14 era, they switched to being a Fabric mod (all versions before that are Vanilla installers), which was the first time using Fabric for many, including me. Forge versions do exist for 1.10.2 and 1.12.2 in source code form. Many of the older client versions (pre 1.7) contained Mojang code and were taken down. Some versions that were prefabric also come with Optifine.

Adorn

Adorn is a mod that adds a variety of new furniture to Minecraft. There are many types of furniture it adds, and it has multiple variations of many of the items. Here is a rundown of some of the different types of furniture in Adorn. Sofas are short sofas, which are like cozy chairs. They are in many different colours similar to the types of wool.Chairs are basic chairs made out of different variations of wood that have holes in the back. They perform roughly the same as the sofas.Tables are four-legged square tables that can be used to put stuff like coffee brewers on.Platforms are similar to tables, but they are one-legged and made with a post. They look similar to the fences and pressure plate tables found in villages, but they are a bit thicker. Has wood and stone variations.Counters are like tables but with solid blocks and a thick stone top. Has wood variations.Cupboards are counters with a door that you can use to store stuff. Has wood variations.Drawers are two-doored storage blocks that can be used to store stuff and serve as a table. Despite having two doors, it only has one storage interface. Has wood variations.Posts are just sticks held up, they are similar to fences in Minecraft, but they do not attach. There are many stone variations.Sinks are like cauldrons, but with different wood variations. You can put water in them.Steps are like thicker pressure plates with a little post on the bottom. Has wood and stone variations.Shelves (Shelf) are put on the sides of blocks and have wood, warped wood, and iron variations.Chimneys are thin chimneys that can be put on top of blocks. Has stone variations.Coffee Tables are small tables that are used for small things. Has wood Variations.Benches are tables with four legs; two of them are attacked by the other two. It looks a bit like a short stool and has wood variations.Lamps are wood lamps that have a slight glow coming from them based on the colour of the wool.Trading Station is used for trading. You can learn more about trading in the green book about trading called Trader’s Manual by Juuz.Crates are basic wooden blocks. These crates can have pictures of items. Often based on foodstuffs.Picket Fences are white fences similar to those you may see in real life, which are white and pleasant.Chain-link fences—less pleasant grey fences—are similar to the kind you can climb in real life, possibly a  bit stronger.Brewers are used for brewing coffee.Candlelit Lanterns have different colours and are used to light rooms.Outside of furniture, there are also some other items. This includes stone rods, stone torches, and stone latters. There are also mugs that can hold different drinks such as hot chocolate, glow berry tea, sweet berry juice, and Nether Wart coffee. Most items have descriptions under their names explaining what to do. There are also two books, a red one called Decorating Your Home and a green one called The Trader’s Manual. Both are by Juuz and explain different aspects of the mod.One interesting thing about the mod is the trading, this makes it a bit similar to Fantasy's Furniture. However, emeralds and gold are some of the most common elements, making it potentially not as easy.Adorn has a lot of integrations with other mods (mostly for variants), but it is different between the Forge and Fabric versions. This mod requires Fabric Language Kotlin if run on Fabric or Quilt.

Extended Drawers

Extended Drawers is a mod influenced by Storage Drawers that adds different drawers to the game with special abilities. There are multiple different kinds of drawers in the mod, both currently and in the future. There is an in game guide book that can help you, but it requires Patchouli to be installed. There are three main types of simple drawers. There are:Single DrawersDouble DrawersQuad DrawersThe only difference is the number of different items it can hold. Like other drawer mods, each type slot can only hold one item type. The single drawer can hold one item 1024 times. The double drawer can hold two items 512 times. The quad drawer accessed four items 256 times. The drawers can easily be upgraded or downgraded with the Downgrade and Upgrade items. It is important to note, however, that each of the different levels only holds a total of 1024 items, so it may not be too important to upgrade your drawers. To add new items to a drawer with an empty slot, you should point to the particular slot where you want to add the item. Drawers can also reduce the number of items in them if you Shift+Click with a lava bucket. There is another drawer called the Shadow Drawer. This can only hold a single item 512 times, but has a special ability: being able to display the items in a drawer network. There are drawer networks where you can expand and reduce drawers. Drawer networks can be interacted with Access Points, which allow you to interact with multiple drawers in a network, and you can work with the drawers with many different items, including hoppers or some modded pipes.Drawers can also be locked with a lock item, which prevents the player from being able to take items out of the drawer. While normally players would be able to take items out of the drawers by right clicking on them, the lock prevents this. Another cool feature is the ability to hide the icons. This can be used to reduce lag or hide your stuff, but it is easy to turn off, so it is not that effective as a security measure. One interesting thing about the drawers in this mod is that even in creative mode, they take a very long time to break. This could be good if you want a strong option that is not easy to break. There are also a few planned features that are not yet in the mod. The main 2 features are progress bars to show how full a drawer or slot is, and Compacting Drawers, which would convert nuggets to ingots and ingots to blocks and other stuff; this latter feature is harder and may require mod integration, so it has not yet been added, though the author is open to pull requests for it. It is important to note that the author only supports the latest version of Minecraft, so you will not be getting these new features in 1.18 or other old versions.Optifine is not officially supported, but will most likely work.Sodium is listed as compatible as long as Indium is installed; however, we do not have Indium installed, only Sodium and Iris Shaders with Quilt Standard Libraries, so it is likely it will work without Indium.

Tom's Simple Storage

Tom's Simple Storage is a storage mod which adds network storage similar to Redefined Storage or AE2. Tom’s Simple Storage is not really a tech mod like the other mods, but is more vanilla themed and tries to provide a simple way to do network storage, but can still be used with other tech mods. It also has the ability to hide storage blocks from potential foes in an even better way than AE2. You can create wireless and interdimensional storage networks. Most of the items you will need are in a special creative tab specifically for Tom’s Simple Storage. The Creative Tab is labelled with a Storage Terminal, one of the 1st items you will need to get to start. You need to put a Storage Terminal  and a Inventory Container. These are the 2 blocks that are most important. The Inventory Container is like the brain of your storage network. It is used to connect all the inventories together. The Storage Terminal is how you access and control your storage network. There are also Wireless Storage Terminals and Advanced Storage terminals, but those are harder to setup and do not always make a big difference. The different blocks can be connected from the Inventory Connector with Inventory Cables or Inventory Trims, which can be connected to different inventory blocks. There are also open Barrels, which spit out items and can be used for automatic configuration of many technological contraptions or for converting nearby blocks to storage blocks for your networked storage.Storage Networks can also be connected. In order to do this you need either an Inventory Cable Connector or a filtered  Inventory Cable Connector. These will let you connect you storage network with overseas locations for your storage network. One of the top features of Tom’s Simple Storage is the ability to paint some of the items. This can be used to obfuscate some of your storage from intruders. It is a little like AE2’s carper covering system but a bit better. With the paint bucket, you are able to paint your storage blocks to look like nearby blocks, it commonly turns it into stone, which would be good for underground storage networks. One drawback is that only some blocks such as Inventory Trim and Cables can be painted, so it is important top keep this in mind when creating your storage network. Unlike AE2 or RF and many other Network Storage mods, this one has bigger reliance on traditional chests, which can be connected to your storage network. There are not really hard drives like in Refined Storage and calling it a Storage Network is a bit of a stretch since it does not try to appear that technical. The terminals are similar to those in RF but can also be switched with the click of a button to be closer to those of AE2 or Vanilla. The main difference between the 3 mods is the hot keys.  There are also 3 different search mods, such as standard, keep, auto, and auto keep. The Search is highly customisable and possibly better than some other network storage mods. You can also sort the items in the terminal by things like name or amount and switch between ascending and decending.
