Easy Mob Farm Mod

Technical Minecraft has progressed to a stage where almost any item in the game can be farmed. But many of these farms require a good level of game knowledge and resources to build. The Easy Mob Farm mod is here with a solution.

As the name suggests, this mod focuses on simplifying mob farms. And it does so by introducing one-block farms that produces outputs similar to large sized farms. Let us take a look at some of the main features of this mod and how you can create your own farm block.

Getting Started

To begin, you need mobs to input into the farm. There are two main ways in which you can achieve this.

The first method is to capture a mob using a mob catching device. There are many different mob catching devices available and the one to choose depends on the size of the target mob. Some mob catchers require you to damage the mob to reduce its health below a certain threshold. This will be given as a notification when you attempt to capture the mob.

The second method is to collect mob capture cards. Mobs drop these randomly when you defeat them. These capture cards are a lot more convenient to use compared to manually capturing mobs.

One you have captured a mob or obtained a mob capture card, you can proceed to crafting a mob farm block. There are many different farm blocks and you can choose one that you intuitively feel is the most suitable for the mob. Once crafted, place down the mob farm block and right click on it to open its GUI.

The farm GUI has several different slots for placing the mob/card, farm upgrades and a dedicated inventory towards collecting the farm output. Place the captured mob or mob capture card into the dedicated slot as shown below. You can then hover over to the "i" button given at the top-left of the screen to see the different specifications of the farm. The output given by the farm will be reflected in the output slots.

More Information

You can use several different upgrade cards to increase the overall efficiency of your farm. The mod introduces a large number of items with their own crafting recipes. Therefore, it is highly recommended to use the Just Enough Items mod to view all of the crafting recipes within the game.

The mod allows you to create farms for all of the mobs in the game. Even the Ender Dragon is no exception.
