Mebahel's Creatures - Draugr Invasion Mod

Adds Skyrim-inspired undead enemies, dangerous structures, powerful weapons, magical items, boss fights, and Draugr raids to Minecraft.

Mebahel's Creatures - Draugr Invasion mod introduces a collection of new mobs inspired by Skyrim. The mod introduces mobs that have far superior AI than vanilla mobs. Mobs introduced by this mod can even block attacks and dodge them, making fighting them a challenging feat. The mod also introduces some new structures, bosses, items and more.

The New Mobs

Draugr Invasion introduces 8 new mobs, which includes one boss. Most of them can be categorized as "undead" and each one has thair own unique abilities, which means the fighting strategy required to beat each one is different. Let us take a look at all the new mobs in detail.

Draugr

With 15 hearts of health, Draugr is far stronger than the player. They are the equivalent of vanilla zombies in the Draugr Invasion. They can block attacks and drink potions during combat. This is the base variant of the Draugr species and is not much of a challenge to beat.

Draugr Archer

Draugr Archers are the Draugr equivalent of the vanilla skeletons. As the name suggests, they attack using bows and arrows. They behave very similarly to the regular Draugrs, with the exception being their attack type.

Draugr Wight

With 17 hearts of health, Draugr Wights are twice as strong as the player. They can spawn with either an axe or a sword. Unlike the previous two mobs, Wights have a chance of dropping items like Stalhrim, Frostbite Magical Stone and Ectoplasm, which are all essential for progressing through the mod. They spawn in biomes tagged as cold Overworld, snowy, icy, or taiga, subject to hostile-mob darkness checks.

Draugr Scourge

Draugr Scourges perform magical attacks on their opponent - you. They shoot ice spikes that can deal freeze damage to the player for a couple of seconds. Their loot drops are similar to Wights, with Ectoplasm drop rates twice as much. Their spawning conditions are similar to that of Draugr Wights.

Skeleton Warrior

With just 13 hearts of health, the Skeleton Warrior is the weakest mob introduced By Draugr Invasion. But they have special ability which makes them hard to fight, especially if you have to face them in hordes, like during a raid. When a Skeleton Warrior is killed, they have a 40% percentage chance of dropping their head, which will roll away from the player and regenerate into a new Skeleton Warrior.

Infernal Draugr

Infernal Draugrs spawn individually in Nether Wastes and Basalt Deltas among vanilla biomes. They use melee attacks, blocking, evasive firebolt attacks, potions, and even summons Flame Atronachs during combat. They have a high chance (50%) of dropping Ectoplasm.

Flame Atronach

Flame Atronachs spawn in Nether Wastes and Basalt Deltas. They perform ranged fire attacks. These Atronachs are very loyal to their summoner, whether it be an Infernal Draugr or a player, and will fight beside them. These summoned variants will not drop any loot.

Draugr Overlord - Boss

This is the boss Draugr. Draugr Overlords do not summon naturally. You can summon them inside dedicated structures or they will be summoned during the final wave of Draugr Raids. They have a 50% chance of dropping an Enchanted Ebony Greatsword, alongside other guaranteed drops.

The New Structures

Draugr Invasion introduces four major structures with a few smaller ones. Let us take a look at the peculiarities and features of the new structures in detail.

Draugr Bastion

Draugr Bastion

Draugr Bastion

Massive Fort Buried Within the Cold Mountain

The Draugr Bastion is a sprawling stone dungeon found in cold regions, including snowy plains, snowy taigas, ice spikes, and several mountain biomes. Its dark halls feature heavy pillars, moss-covered masonry, cobwebs, and scattered firelight. The structure extends into lower sections, giving players more to explore than its entrance initially suggests.

Inside, players can encounter Draugr, Draugr Archers, Wights, and Skeleton Warriors. Magical traps add another danger to the dungeon, so rushing through its passages can be costly. Loot chests use several reward tiers, making a thorough search worthwhile. Bring plenty of torches, food, and reliable equipment before exploring its deeper chambers.

Within the Bastion, you will come across a central hall which houses the Draugr Overlord summoning altar. Craft a Golden Claw using the recipe given above and right-click using it on the altar to summon a Draugr Overlord.

The central hall housing the altar is a battle arena for the player to have a showdown against the mighty Draugr Overlord.

Draugr Crypt

Largest Structure in Draugr Invasion

The Draugr Crypt hides an extensive underground dungeon beneath a small stone entrance on the surface. It can generate across many Overworld environments, including forests, plains, deserts, taigas, jungles, savannas, and snowy biomes. Below ground, its layout combines corridors, larger chambers, side rooms, and hidden sections, with some areas featuring an icy theme.

The crypt contains a broad selection of enemies, including Draugr Archers, Wights, Scourges, Skeleton Warriors, and Infernal Draugr. Its boss-room template also includes a Draugr Overlord, making this a destination worth preparing for. Magical traps and concealed rooms encourage careful exploration, while different chest loot tiers reward players who investigate beyond the main route.

Just like with the Bastion, Draugr Crypts too house an altar which can be used to summon the Draugr Overlord.

Draugr Fort

Draugr Fort

Massive Monster Filled Fortress

The Draugr Fort is a large surface stronghold that generates in forests, plains, taigas, and snowy regions. Its weathered stone walls, ruined towers, and overgrown sections give it the appearance of an abandoned fortress reclaimed by hostile creatures. Its broad layout creates several areas to investigate, with exposed sections offering views across the surrounding landscape.

The fort’s inhabitants include ordinary Draugr, Archers, Wights, and Skeleton Warriors, alongside fire-based enemies such as Infernal Draugr and Flame Atronachs. This mixture makes encounters more varied than a simple melee fight. Chests draw from common, rare, and epic fort loot tables, giving players a reason to search the different sections after dealing with their defenders.

Draugr Tower

Found in Swamps and Dark Forests

The Draugr Tower is a tall stone structure found in swamp biomes and dark forests. Vines and vegetation cover parts of its exterior, while wooden details and a pointed roof distinguish it from the mod’s heavier stone fortifications. Its height makes it a recognizable landmark among the surrounding trees.

Other Structures

Other structures introduced by Draugr Invasion includes features like Ruins, Ruined Churches and Simple Graves. All of them have a chance of generating with a Draugr Chest in them. These structures tend to be small and has no other purpose.

Draugr Chests: New chest variant introduced by this mod. They generate as treasure chests in structures introduced by this mod, and are also generated after raids. They contain loot specific to this mod.

Weapons And Items

Let us not take a look at the new weapons and other items introduced by Draugr Invasion.

New Bow Variants

The mod introduces three bows: the Ancient Nord Bow, Ebony Bow, and Stalhrim Bow. The Ancient Nord Bow draws faster than a standard bow, making it useful for firing repeated shots. The Ebony Bow launches arrows at greater speed, while the Stalhrim Bow adds a freezing effect to its shots. There are also new Ebony Arrows, though these cannot benefit from the Infinity enchantment’s unlimited ammunition.

New Staff Weapons

Three magical staffs offer different ways to fight. The Frost Bite Dragon Priest Staff releases a sustained frost attack while used, while the Ice Spike Dragon Priest Staff charges up and fires an ice projectile. The Flame Atronach Summoning Staff instead calls forth a temporary companion that follows its owner and attacks enemies with fire. Summoning another Atronach replaces the previous one, so the staff cannot be used to build an army.

Other Items

Beyond bows and staffs, the mod adds crafting materials, melee weapons, and items tied to dungeon exploration. Stalhrim, Ebony Scrap, and Ebony Ingots accompany weapons such as the Stalhrim Sword and several Ebony blades, axes, and blunt weapons. Magical Stones and Flame Atronach Hearts expand the collection of special loot, while Golden Claws are used to unlock Draugr Altars. The Draugr Awakening Soul Gem provides another challenge: after absorbing souls from 12 Draugr kills, it becomes a filled gem that can start a raid when activated outdoors.

Conclusion

Mebahel’s Creatures – Draugr Invasion adds more danger and discovery to Minecraft through its undead enemies, ruined strongholds, and underground dungeons. Each expedition offers a chance to face different Draugr variants and collect materials for new bows, melee weapons, and magical staffs. Once you’re ready for a bigger fight, awakening a Draugr raid brings the challenge to the surface. For players who enjoy exploring hostile structures and earning their rewards through combat, this mod gives the next adventure a darker theme.
