Improves soul fire mechanics and other tweaks.
With the 1.13 Nether update, Mojang introduced a new type of fire into the game. This new fire variant, called "Soul Fire" burns with a blue flame. If you have played around with soul fire in the game, you would have noticed some inconsistencies related to it.
The Soul Fire'd mod is here to make soul fire work as expected.
In the vanilla game, when a player catches on fire from a soul fire source, the overlay that appears is still the regular fire overlay. This mod changes it so that, players caught on fire from a soul fire source will see a blue soul fire overlay on their screen.
The above feature is further extended to all entities within the game. This includes all mobs within the game. Even projectiles shot through soul fire will have a blue flame upon being lit. It should be noted that soul fire deals more damage than regular fire.
The soul fire property is transferred across multiple entities. An arrow shot through soul fire will ignite with a blue flame. And if this arrow strikes a mob, the mob too will be caught on soul fire.
Additionally, the mod adds two new enchantments into the game. These are the soul variants of the vanilla Fire Aspect and Flame enchantments. These are weapon enchantments that allows you to light enemies on fire by striking them. These new soul variants will allow you to light enemies on soul fire, dealing more fire damage.
