A glitched memory... something faded... A memory that you know exists, but cannot recollect. A shader pack that makes horror-themed gameplay more immersive!

There are plenty of shader packs that makes Minecraft look beautiful. But the Warped Memory shader pack is not one of them! Unlike most other shaders, the goal of this pack is to make the game look glitched and distorted. This is specifically done to make gameplay with horror mods and horror maps feels more eerie and immersive.

Everything appears dull and unsaturated. The above screenshot was captured at daytime when the world is supposed to be bright and vibrant, but instead, what we see is a dull and noisy landscape. This dull vibe is supposed to represent a dark distant memory, where the details are unclear, yet existent.

Lighting helps make out shapes and some amount of detail. Light behaves in a flat manner, doing just enough to make the game visuals coherent. It does not make anything bright or vibrant. Put it this way - it makes the surroundings less dull.

Within the shader settings, you will be able to choose between two shader profiles. The above image shows the "No Glitched" profile. As the name suggests, this profile removes the noise overlay and the glitch effects, making the game looks crisper, but still dull and unsaturated.

The noise and distortions make traversing through the Nether terrain challenging. What is already a place with abnormal terrain and crammed layout, becomes much more difficult to explore with the reduced visibility. Lava and other light sources does not seem to be of any help here.

When it comes to the Nether, the visibility is not much affected, other than the noise overlay and distortion effect. The reduced saturation is noticeable, but it does not affect your visibility much. The simple layout of the End terrain makes it more coherent and visible compared to the other dimensions, with this shader pack installed.
