Why waste hours mining when you can mine straight into ores instead? An Xray pack that makes all terrain blocks transparent.

Mining for ores in Minecraft can get frustrating at times... You could end up mining for hours on end and not manage to collect at least a stack of diamonds. When it comes to the Nether, finding ancient debris is a very challenging task. Mahi's Xray Pack is here with the solution to all these problems.
This pack basically makes all the unwanted blocks - grass, dirt, stone, etc. turn invisible upon activating this pack. Valuable ore blocks are left unaffected, basically allowing you to see them through the now-transparent terrain. Note that, this pack gives the transparent blocks a thin outline to help you navigate.
One thing you might have noticed from the comparison slider above is that the now exposed ore blocks are dark and therefore, you will be able to determine what ore they are. Let us now solve this problem by activating a full-bright texture pack.

A full-bright texture pack basically makes it so that all blocks in the game become lighted up as if they are exposed to a light source. When used in combination with an Xray texture packs, this will make the exposed ores truly visible. Take a look at the comparison below.
A similar effect can be achieved using a night-vision potion. But the visibility is much lower and potions are resource intensive. Any fullbright texture pack can be utlized for this purpose. Some are suggested below this article.

The utility of this pack is not just limited to finding ore blocks. The pack also uncovers interesting features like amethyst geodes, hidden treasure chests, etc. You no longer have to waste time exploring the undergrounds to find these features, as you can now mine straight into them.

Unlike many other Xray packs that only works in spectator mode, this pack does not have such restrictions. You can fully utilize the Xray effect to uncover ores in survival mode too. But it is important to keep in mind that many multiplayer servers do not allow this, and might get you banned if caught.

An interesting final note is that the pack s compatible with shader packs. But this is not recommended in most cases, where sunlight falling at an angle can make the ore blocks appear dark when viewed from the opposite side, as seen in the image above.
