The AVPBR Retextured texture pack is an improvised version of the original AVPBR texture pack. This new and improved version of the pack improves the texture in the game using normal maps and specular maps.
As seen in the above image, the pack gives a 3D finish to block surfaces. This effect works well with labPBR shaders. The 3D surfaces react well to lighting and gives blocks a very realistic appearance. This effect can be notices on tree logs, stone blocks, etc.
The pack gives glowing blocks special luminescent effect that makes them stand out. You can notice these on warped fungi log blocks in the nether. The blue glowing veins on these blocks will stand out well in dimly lit atmospheres. The effect can also be noticed on glowstone and other light emitting blocks.
Performance wise, the pack runs well on mid-end to high-end systems. To get the full effects of the pack you will have to use shaderpacks with some high quality effects. Some recommended packs are given below.
