You're in Grave Danger

You’re in Grave Danger is a mod that has gravestones with cool abilities. When you die, instead of all your stuff dropping, in most cases, a gravestone will generate and you will get a message saying where you died coordinates wise and you will also get a custom compass which points to that location. When you find where you die you can either right-click (or whatever your mouse binds are) or sneak and you will get your items back and some XP, some experience, and a mob head. The mob head says the name of the user who died and will also show the mob head. Which can be helpful when you are on a multiplayer server, such as Genesis Plus. You will also be able to pick up the gravestone and put it somewhere else for decoration. The graves often also adapt to the blocks it is on and can also waterlog. When you get your items back you even get them in the same order in the inventory, and it has integration with many mods such as Trinkets, curios, inventurio, the Graveyard, Extra Inventory, Backslot, and BigInv. One issue you will have is if you mine a lot of gravestones you will get lots of compasses which cant be stacked with each other. There is also a new enchantment called soulbound and a few commands added by default (mostly for moderation).Graves are preferable to dropping items as items often disappear. There were other similar gravestone mods such as GraveStone Mod or Universal Graves (to a lesser extent) or Gravestones (written by Modrinth’s owner), though while these mods each have their own advantages, YIGD is in general more advanced for some things unless you need things like a list. There are also other mods that do other things, such as summon a custom entity which needs to be hit to get items, but these often require multiple hits and in some cases also are not as good at getting items back, and worst of all these entities often disappear. Gamerule KeepInventory is in vanilla or a similar mod like Keep Inventory, but many players do not like that as they could consider it cheating. However officially this mod is only for Fabric. So if you need MC Forge you can use the other mods. The mod requires Cloth Config and uses it extensively. The author wants almost everything to be configurable and considers missing config entries as missing features and not bugs. There is an extensive configuration page, it can be used to do things like change the command perms, disable the commands, disable the enchantment, and other stuff. They have a whole wiki for the config and modpack integration, and other stuff. The author is always open to new feature and config requests on their GitHub (in the wiki) issues. Also on Github is the source code, and the mod is MIT licence which means you are able to freely fork it and make your own changes so long as you provide credit to the original authors.

Charm of Undying (Fabric/Forge/Quilt)

Charm of Undying is a mod which makes it so you can use the Totem of Undying Item in a Trinket slot rather than your offhand. Normally in Minecraft, the Totem of undying goes in your offhand which makes it so that you can not use another item in the offhand. The offhand is normally able to use things like Shields, Swords, Fireworks, and Blocks when Inventory is full, as other items. The Totem of Undying does not need to be actually interacted with making it good use for a Trinket. You will get a trinket slot above for the Charm and be able to put the charm there and it will show up on your neck like a neckless preventing you from death. It is a good vanilla + mod.Charm of Undying works with Curios API and Trinkets (Fabric). Charm of Undying is available for FabricMC, QuiltMC, and MinecraftForge.

Trinkets (Fabric)

Trinkets is a trinket mod for Minecraft FabricMC. It allows you to add Trinkets to your player. Trinkets are alternate slots (similar to armour slots) that allow you to add alternate pieces of gear which can do things and that modders can take advantage of. It is similar to Curios API, however, it is a bit simpler and more in line with Vanilla but a little less compact and without the default slots and example trinkets. By themselves, trinkets do not do anything but instead require mods to make use of it and come up with trinkets and a lot of trinkets may not look this good.An example is the Charm of Undying mod which adds a custom slot for its mod which allows users to add the totem of undying while treeing the offhand from the totem of undying.Existing vanilla items can also be turned into Trinkets and be given their own abilities, such as in the Charm of Undying  mod, and the items can have descriptions.Trinkets are officially only for FabricMC, Curios API is arguably a better mod if the mods support it and has recently been ported to Fabric, though is not on many older versions for Fabric.

BetterF3

BetterF3 is a mod which adds a different F3Screen. Pressing F3 on your keyboard will instead bring up a new F3 Screen which reorders the items and changes their aspect ratio and positions and colours and size. Many of the similar fields are grouped together in the same colour, such as Chunk and Region data is blue by default, Render and Graphics data is Orange, etc. The title can though be different colours (such as XYZ). The answers are also different colours from the field name and can also be a variation of colours.  Most of the content is similar to the vanilla F3 Screen, though the aspect ratio changes and it in some ways is bigger and should be zoomed out more and takes up the whole screen more and the colour choices were rather odd. And can be distracting at 1st. It takes some getting used to the new F3 Screen. There is also a different sliding animation to enter the F3 Screen. The Main benefit of BetterF3 is customisation. You are able to set what you do and do not want and can change the colours and spacing, size and more. Cloth Config is bundled with a Jar-in-Jar on Fabric, though on Forge it needs to be installed separately. You are also suggested to have Mod Menu.If you have Cloth Config you are able to customise the menu by pressing F3+M and are able to change the general settings and the individual module settings, and other stuff for your liking. This can be used to make the F3 menu more minimalist or include other modules from other mods or change the colours or the general layout. This can be good for taking screenshots with some but not all info or for hiding information about your computer such as which hardware you are using that could personally identify you if found in a screenshot. The mod has been reviewed by many YouTubers such as Bloodyneck and AntVenom and a logo made by Nirewen and development builds on GitHub.Though in many ways the Vanilla F3 screen can be better if you prefer a completely white and unmodified, Vanilla can be better.

MmmMmmMmmMmm (Target Dummy)

MmmMmmMmmMmm (Target Dummy) adds a Target Dummy that can be equipped with armour, which will reduce the damage it takes. It can also be dispensed from a dispenser and changed to mimic different mobs. The dummy shows damage dealt to it via numbers fading in and out of the screen, and the numbers change colour depending on the type of damage. You can customise the visuals and behaviour of the dummy in the mod config and shear it for different skins. The basic target dummy can be found in the combat tab and is good for practising combat. The dummy has numbers coming out of it, these numbers show how much damage is being done. You can hit it unlimited times and it will not break. There is also another number called DPS (Damage per second) which is also shown. With the hand you will struggle to get past 1,3 Damage per second, but with different weapons that number can get much higher. The mod is good for the post 1.9 combat system which requires you to not spam click as much, but can also be used to practise alternate combat systems. Such as Zelda’s Sword Skills, Commie’s Combat Tweaks, Golden Age Combat, and Combat Tests. The Dummies can also be equipped with armour and even mimic other mobs and have mob heads. This allows you to test various different types of weapons on various mobs to test how they would go in a fight and prepare you for PVP or for going against a mob you want to fight in the future. You can even test different types of enchantments, and dispenser drops, and even modify the appearance, skin and swing amounts, and messages with the config or even sheers. This mod is originally inspired by a 1.12 mod by Bonusboni but it adds many changes making it far better and it is for newer versions. The mod requires Moonlight Lib and is made by the same creator (like many of the other mods which use moonlight lib).

Roughly Enough Resources

Roughly Enough Resources is an addon for the popular mod Roughly Enough Items (REI), which adds a variety of useful tabs to the REI interface. It is still possible to get the Roughly Enough Resources (REI) tabs in the traditional REI interface. It is important to note that while Roughly Enough Resources does work with modded content, custom-made solutions may not be able to integrate with it. Therefore, modders may need to do custom work to make their mods compatible with Roughly Enough Resources.  It also displays both to and from trades, making it easy to see what you can do with an item. The Mob Drops tab shows the items dropped by mobs when they die and can be accessed with the spawn egg. The Block Drops tab is similar to Mob Drops, but it is for blocks. Plant Drops can be accessed by right-clicking a seed, and it displays the plant's growth stages, the items it. It is accessed with left click, meaning it could have some slight issues with Cheat mode. It can be remapped though. This is an unofficial port of Just Enough Resources (JER) (An addon for Just Enough Items) which is a successor to Not Enough Resources (NER) (An add-on for Not Enough Items). In many cases Roughly Enough Items has a better User Interface than Just Enough Items, making Roughly Enough Resources a better alternative to Just Enough Resources some of the devs of Roughly Enough Resources (such as shedaniel) are also developers of Roughly Enough Items, Architectury (Required), and Cloth Config (Required). Many of the details are also better than Just Enough Resources in many ways. Additionally, Just Enough Items was only recently ported to Fabric (in the 1.19 era when it is still in alpha or beta) so for older versions of Fabric Roughly Enough Items ( and its addons) would be preferred for Fabric before 1.19 or in instances where you want both to have the same version. Roughly Enough Items (but not RER) has a Rift version also. This does not show villager trades. Instead you have to use a separate mod called Roughly Enough Trades

Pig Pen Cipher

Pig Pen Cipher  is a security, encryption, and font mod which add the  Pig Pen Cipher (also known as masonic cipher, Freemason's cipher, Napoleon cipher, and tic-tac-toe cipher) font which can be applied to books, messages, and others.Commands such as "/pigpen say" and "/pigpen book" can be used to use the cipher on a server, and developers can use the IFomattableTextComponent class to apply the cipher to text components. Additionally, vanilla commands such as the "give" and "title" commands can be used with the cipher by specifying the font ID in the text properties in the command. With Say being what is used for ciphered messages and book being for ciphering books. There is also /pigpen tile (which does the same thing for blocks with text such as signs) and /pigpen hand (which renames the itemstack in hand to a name in pigpen).Developers can also easily have their mods integrated by modifying the ItextComponent. The mod comes with some security drawbacks though and should not be actually used for security. Pigpen cipher offers no real protection when it comes to cryptography. Using symbols instead of letters cannot prevent it from being deciphered, and it is not dissimilar from any other straightforward monoalphabetic substitution cipher. Moreover, its widespread recognition means that it is not a reliable choice for security purposes. As a consequence, Pigpen is often featured in books about ciphers and secret messages intended for children. The code may have been common in the middle ages and earlier, it is not a good way to hide your info. Even the authors of the mod (Mostly DarkHax, who is not very honest himself) say that and even offer a decryption guide. More info can be found on the Wikipedia page. What is even worse is that the mod by itself is only a font mod, and the actual things you are saying can easily be read by the server log and possibly by others without the mod especially when the mod is installed on the server. What is worst of all is that the command system has decryption for all of the text making it very easy for someone who knew about the existence of the mod or pigpen cipher in general could easily find a way to reverse engineer this. While PigPen Cipher these days is largely supposed to be used for fun, it can often be an inconvenience for those who do not want to play. Decryption info can be found on the wikipedia page with a basic guide in the images.

Macaw's Doors

Macaw’s Doors is a mod created by Macaw, like Macaw’s other mods. It adds a variety of new doors to the game with unique designs. The mod adds wooden doors, iron doors, glass doors, jail doors, garage doors, and secret doors. Each of these doors has its unique designs and animations. The mod also adds a new crafting system for the doors, allowing players to craft the doors from their in-game resources, such as in-game wood variants. Macaw’s Doors mod adds a lot of conveniences and visual interest to the game. The doors are easy to craft and can be used to create unique and interesting builds. The visuals of the doors also add a new level of detail to the game, making it more immersive and enjoyable. Overall, Macaw’s Doors is a great mod for players who want to add some extra detail to their builds and make their Minecraft experience more enjoyable. Choice Theorem's Overhauled Village Generation

Choice Theorem's Overhauled Village Generation is a Minecraft mod by the developer Choice Theorem that updates the game's village generation system. It adds a plethora of new features to the game, including new structures, mob types, and more. With this mod, players can create their own unique villages and customise them to their liking. The mod comes with over 20 original village variants and lots of other new structures related to biomes. The mod starts off by replacing the vanilla village generation system with a new one. This new system includes more variation in the types of structures that can be found in villages, as well as more size and shape variations. Players will also find new types of mobs, including different types of villagers and new types of animals, such as horses, cows, and pigs that are normally found in villages.   However the most important part to the mod is the new structures . These structures can be used to create unique buildings and fortifications, adding an extra layer of complexity to the game. These structures are what allows players to create their own villages and customise them to their liking. Overall, Choice Theorem's Overhauled Village Generation mod is an excellent way to enhance the game's village generation system, which is fairly primitive in the vanilla game with Mojang abandoning huge parts villages and features related to the villages.  If you're looking for a way to make the game's village generation system more interesting and engaging, then this mod is definitely worth checking out. It is available for Fabric/Quilt/Forge and also Datapack for 1.17.1 and newer, if you ask for older you will be sent to Brasil by the dev (yes that is literally something he says on some of his pages when asked for backports) because the technical limit is too high. There are many new villages in a huge gallary. It is perfectly safe to add CTOV to an existing world and update worlds with CTOV. The Structures are compatible with the /locate command making finding the villages fairly easy. It is server side only and does not need to be installed on the client in most cases as it is a server-resource-pack (a datapack). The mod part is mostly init files for the loader, there is not very much Java. It is important to note though that this does modify existing vanilla structures and could have compatibility issues with other mods which do the same thing. If you want to add this mod to a modpack you should also link back to the original curseforge page. The mod has been tested as compatible with many world generation mods such as Terralith, Oh The Biomes You’ll Go,Biomes O’ Plenty, MCA Reborn, and others.  Waystones, Farmer’s Delight, More Villagers, Croptiopia, and Bountiful, with more planned, have their own addon datapacks which can be installed separately for compatibility.Though some issues do exist such as the error:[17:45:30] [Worker-Main-19/WARN]: Empty or non-existent pool: ctov:village/red_fortified/start_road[17:46:82] [Worker-Main-19/WARN]: Empty or non-existent pool: ctov:village/red_fortified/start_roadNote: 1.17.1 Version is a datapack and should be put in the datapacks folder and enabled upon world creation.

Happiness (is a) Warm Gun

Happiness (is a) Warm Gun  is a gun mod which adds various 3D guns to minecraft. This gun is one of the most detailed guns mod, having many 3D models and special effects. The guns vary, there are some guns which are like machine guns which shoot very fast, and others which you need to reload each time. There are different types of ammo, such as fuel, bullets, and other, and each gun has its own ammo type, reload amount, and reload frequency and other attributes which are listed under the item.  Ammo does not really matter in creative move, which can shoot any gun without the ammo. Many of the guns are based off of real guns, like shotguns, revolvers, machine guns, flame throwers, and much more. It is also based off of the games Doom (which there is also another mod for by one of the contributors named AzureDoom) and Team Fortress 2.The Flame thrower lets you actually shoot fire and light blocks on fire. The mod adds a few different types of mobs, mostly villager types (different variants for Desert/Forest/Taiga/Snow), but this mod also changes the weapons of existing mobs, mostly the illagers and Technodemons in the nether. Guns and ammo can be obtained by killing a lot of them. There is also a gun table which is what is used to get most of the guns. The main materials used are iron, gold, gunpowder, and various other ingredients. Some weapons can only be found in chests found around the world. The names of the Guns provided in the mod are:PistolLuger    Silenced Pistol    Flare Gun    AK-47    SMG    Shotgun    Tommy Gun    Sniper Rifle    Grenade     Launcher    Rocket Launcher    Flame Thrower    Minigun    Balrog    Brimstone    Golden Gun    Hellhorse     Revolver    Meanie Gun    Incinerator     Unit    More in the     futureThe grenade Launcher can make big explosions, but the grenades are expensive and it takes a long time to load, and the minigun is also good but takes up a lot of bullets and does not do much damage with each bullet. RocketLauncher can also shoot rockets which do not do much damage to the terrain but can do lots of damage to the entities which hit it.The mod is for 1.16.5 and newer only on Fabric (and forks like Quilt), the developers have stated they do not plan to back port and do not want Forge ports. This mod also requires GeckoLib (also known as AzureLib) and is an example of a mod which uses geckolib that is not focused on mobs, but rather on item animations.Despite having such high quality models, the mod is pretty light weight, does not take up too much size, and most of the textures are made in plain JSON and are not really massive like 32x32. The Whole mod is under 1MB making it good for modpacks that should not be large. The authors allow modpacks to be hosted anywhere, like Technic or MinecraftStorage, but prefer if the modpack is hosted on CurseForge so they can get some of the profit.

Item Borders

Item borders is a mod that directly enhances the visuals of Minecraft items in your inventory by adding custom item borders. On its own, the mod does not apply special borders to most items (Common items are disabled by default, I have made it visible so you can see directly how it looks if you use to change it), so it is up to the user or mod pack designer to customize as needed. The mod offers many customization options in its configuration file. You can edit how borders look if they should match legendary tooltip rarities, border visibility on your hotbar, and many other features. Note: The mod requires Iceberg and Prism(For versions 1.2+) to work properly in newer versions.

Legendary tooltips

Legendary Tooltips is a mod that directly enhances the visuals of Minecraft items in your inventory by adding custom item borders and some quality-of-life features. On its own, the mod does not apply special borders to most items, so it is upto the user or mod pack designer to customize as needed. One of its more interesting features is the rendering of an item in its tooltip when hovered upon in the inventory or its way of compressing the lore text of any custom-made item in the game. (As you can see in my basic custom-made item in screenshots, which was made to showcase this exact feature) The mod also offers customizations with the use of its configuration and resource packs. Borders can be customized via resource packs which are capable of replacing the default border included in the mod with up to 16 custom borders that can be used by the mod.Note: The mod requires Iceberg and Prism(For versions 1.3+) to work properly in newer versions.

MCDoom

MCDoom is a mod which adds lots of Doom Themed content to the game from the Game series Doom, including the DOS version of Doom and Doom Eternal. The mod has a collection of different items, tools, bosses, and structures, each with special abilities. Much of the content is unique and not very similar to each other, and much of the art is of very high quality, especially the models for the entities. The mod has so much content; the official review series comprises three videos combining about 1 hour’s content. There are many structures with many extraordinary abilities; one is a wooden structure that occasionally spawns in your world. It has a door which, when right slick, opens up, and even on the roof, there is a door that explodes. The structures range in complexity, some being very complex and others reasonably basic. One of the most important structures is called the Doom Portal. The Doom Portal is a glorified nether portal which takes you to the Nether, and it has nearby demons (which look a bit like Zombie Pigmen) and totems which strengthen the demons unless they are destroyed. While some structures and other things appear in the overworld, most of the stuff from MCDoom is found in the Nether or Hell. There are also guns which can be reloaded with a critical bind. The guns are Crafted with a specially shaped block (that takes up a few blocks of space) called the Gun Crafter. The Gun Crafter can be made out of overworld materials and can be used for crafting other items, such as the chainsaw and its powerful fuel, which can be used as beginner weapons. Other intractable blocks for crafting-related things include the smithing table. Many of the guns, like the BTG Eternal, are very powerful, being able to kill the ender dragon within a few shots, but it is much harder to get.The Nether is changed a lot in this mod and is very dark, and the spawns are changed a lot, as is the world generation. The mod suggests you DO NOT use shaders. However, it is still possible, and the pictures provided were taken with shaders. There are many bosses, such as the Mother demon, a giant like many of the other bosses in this mod. It shoots fireballs and has 250 health. There are also a lot of other fantastic items, such as the JumpPad, which allows you to jump five blocks, Music Discs and other excellent blocks which do various things, such as lighting up without power, similar to glowstone, Barrels, which explodes when shot but does not do terrain damage outside of fire but does not harm mobs, similar to TNT with water. However, it requires going to the Nether to get the materials. There are also many powerups which can be activated in different ways. One gives you unlimited speed three and can be started with a Curios slot.MCDoom is one of the most prominent mods and has too much content, such as the Icon of Sin, to cover without playing the mod. It is a must-have for many boss and adventure mod packs. The author, AzureDoom, is also behind many other mods, such as MCHalo and GeckoLib. MCDoom requires GeckoLib and Curios, is on MC Forge, FabricMC, and QuiltMC, and is regularly updated.

Farming for Blockheads

Farming for Blockheads is a small farming mod that adds various farming stuff to the game. These things make farming in Minecraft Easier for the player by adding things like fertilizer, chicken coops, auto feeders, trading posts, and more. The mod is quite simple and lightweight and keeps the game's balance the same.Fertilizers are one of the main things in the mod. There are three types of fertilizer; the Yellow makes crops grown on it immune to being trampled on. The Green Makes them grow in higher quantity, and the Red makes them grow faster. The fertilisers can be mixed, but you cannot mix Red and Green. In creative mode, you can obtain all the preferdalised block combinations, while in survival, you can get the federalised blocks by clicking farmland with the fertiliser you want to apply. The chicken coop you place, and the nearby chickens will place their egg in it.There is also a feeder, you put it somewhere, and then you set your preferred food by right-clicking, it can even be a full stack, and then the nearby animals which eat that type of food will automatically come by there and eat it and automatically have children. Though you can have a stack of items, you can only have 1 type of item per feeder. There is also a trading post containing a villager from which you can buy different types of plants/saplings or farm material; however, to buy an item requires an emerald, so just like other villagers, it is not a good deal to trade with him.The mod is quite simple and makes farming, in general, more straightforward and more efficient. The mod works on FabricMC/QuiltMC and MC Forge and uses the MultiLoader template. The mod integrates with other mods such as Just Enough Items, Simple Farming, Biomes O Plenty, and More.
